And make it known that the top ups will be given the send off against the dogs.
I suppose we could make an exception for Dea if we intend to try and draft him.
I really believe this is tbe plan and it makes sense. A youthful nothing to lose outlook as a springboard into next year. I am wondering now is Langford and Redman going to be rested this weekend and hams play as we was rested last week !!!
I also think the topups are getting their goodbyes and thankyous tomorrow and next week
Hopefully the key matchup for us today will be Keegan Brooksby sent on a mans errand against Matty Leuenberger.
Based on Brooksbys record at this level, purely as a chopout ruckman, Matty should give us a massive advantage at stoppages.
So the extent to which the Suns mids can shark his taps or tackle our mids after they gain possession will determine clearances today.
Other matchups to watch are , I presume Mitch Brown and Mick Hartley on Lynch the 2m powerhouse, and Peter the 2m beanpole. Ambrose presumably will be held in reserve to take either of these guys if they start getting off the leash.
Still some interesting challenges for our players, but given prolific first use at stoppages I am hoping we can be competitive in this game and even steal it.
Go Bombers
You’ve definitely identified we where can exploit them - Leuenberger should have a massive advantage in the ruck and give us first use - if our mids are good enough to take it.
I think Ambrose will go to Lynch because he is the only one with the tank to go with Lynch. Hartley to Peter Wright and Brown to Day who will play relieving ruck for the Suns.
I’m looking forward to both Walla and McKenna giving us run & drive off half back and Long joining Fantasia up forward to create some grief.
Roof open doesn’t thrill me as the wind will make our goal kicking even more inaccurate than it usually is.

At the last outing in round 1, Lynch kicked 3 on Ambrose before half time, then kicked 1 on Mitch Brown. I guess if Ambrose does go to Lynch, we will see how far Ambrose has come since his first AFL game as a KPD. Whilst giving up a 5 cm height difference, I am pretty sure Ambrose has learned a lot about how to use his body against forwards over the last 18 games.

Spot on, but that was Ambrose’s first ever game as a KP defender and our midfield leaked like sieve with Saad, etc running off half back and a much stronger midfield they had than than today.
