To add to that, I was informed by a very reliable source (after asking why Devon wasn’t really training during the latest pre season) that Devon’s knee was rooted, and that he is expecting to have surgery at the end of 2019 season. The “good” news was that his knee was just as rooted prior to the 2018 season and he did okay last year.
Woosha definitely isn’t resting him unnecessarily, it’s an ongoing issue that was managed during pre season and needs managing now.
What do you mean by ‘straight back in’?
He was never going to come back via VFL, nor would Dev - as that wouldn’t make any sense unless they’d been out of it for ages.
no worse than our delusional set. we should have smashed GWS right ?
we were told to put our houses on a win against the saints.
if essington turns up and Northington turns up who the ■■■■ could honestly pick who’d win out of these 2. they can both be pretty good, but both can be pretty damn shitful.
Holy Crapington Batman. I better bring my spud vision glasses and loser repellent to watch this game in the Bat Cave. Thanks for the thoughtful advice.
I still think we don’t show enough consistency to be a sure thing and the public agrees. Tightest odds for the upcoming games this round.
Smith is a big out, he’s the nucleus of our pressure. Someone out of the blue has to stand up, maybe a Shiel, McGrath or Parish can step up for a career best game.
“We’ve got the ability to shuffle players around; McGrath can play more inside and more wing, Parish in his role whether it’s forward or wing or inside”
I think it could be a real arm wrestle today, at least early on. As usual if our skills and intensity aren’t great it will cost us - just because we are a generally a better side on paper doesn’t mean we will be switched on.
Not happy Dev is out, but happy with the maturity from our selection committee in not playing underdone players in JoeD and Injured player in Dev.
Let’s hope we get a good fast start and put them to bed.
