Hot cross buns

In under two weeks my freezer will be packed with hot cross buns. Might last me to June.

I bought a pack of 4 traditionals about 8 weeks ago. They have been sitting in the freezer ever since. Almost time to break them out. Apple and cinnamon sounds okey. Solid no to chocolate varieties, l get disappointed each time l pick a pack up hoping the dark spots are fruit, when they aren’t.

Traditional, under the grill. As much as I like them, I won’t touch them until Good Friday. Just sticking to one of the few family traditions from childhood.

Same. 4 days to eat them each year.

Spot on.

I like putting them in the air fryer

Butter is also a must. I didn’t even know it’s a thing to have them without butter. Who does that?

Traditional hot cross buns but turned into a bread and butter pudding.

It’s a lot of faff but it’s easily peak HCB form.

Cinnabon need to open more venues on Victoria. Only 2 locations (Melb Central and Northland/Southland)..

They were great before shutting down all venues only to reopen a few later).
