In memoriam. Australian Journalism. Judd Wept

Who was he saying?

Idina Menzel. He must have had a stroke. Its bafflingly wrong.

Oh well, that explains why I couldn’t understand him. Never heard of her. Not that I inhabit the world 2010+'s music

Now take Justin Stevens with you…and then boot Jennett, Ibrahim and keep the other Liberal barracker just to show they’re not partisan.

  • Anxieties! Chalmers mum on aged care.

Nothing about his mum in the article. There was I, worried whether she was having a bad experience with her aged care package.

I missed this news. taken too early

FFS. The currency is getting devaluated enough as it is.

If challenged, Sky would point to the precedent of Charlie Perkins honorary doctorates

Yes, but you wouldn’t refer to him as Dr Charlie Perkins.
IMO “honorary” doctorates are nonsense, but they exist, so be it. But that doesn’t confer the doctorate title to the recipient. They are not a “Dr”.

Perkins did.

He’s an idiot, then.

Rupert’s Herald-Sun plumbing new depths of hyperbole in a story about former Bulldog player Jason Watts (no, me neither … played 50 odd games in the 90s apparently).

He’s described as a “star” which is gilding the lily, but not uncommon for the Currant Bun. What really sends this article over the top is their description of Watts as an AFL “legend”.

Don’t recall him either. What’s he done?

Only saw the headline, but it looks some puff piece about Father’s Day and how he misses his teenage son who died last year.

He was a smallish forward, who had one good year in 1996, winning the Doggies goal kicking with 44. Just seemed to disappear after that.
