Possibly. But we have had long injury lists since we moved to marvel. Only the Bulldogs have won a flag from the home tenants. There is more to it. A concrete base with 2.5 feet of dirt is never going to be a softer surface
Worst shoes ever for sport. I played state grade pennant tennis when younger. Those shoes killed my hips and knees. Great grip but absolute hell
I’m pretty sure we won the 2000 flag in our first year of tenancy at the now Marvel stadium (then Colonial Stadium)
We flogged Port in Round 1 there. Lloyd went off with 7 early in the 3rd quarter after a high hit and I think Hird finished with 4.
A glorious start to a glorious year.
Nothing to do with the stadium, they all need to start sprinkling concrete on their weetbix, only then will the pages start to turn.
No accumulation of fatigue from multiple years playing on the concrete in 2000. By 2001 we were carrying multiple injuries into GF day.
That has to be good news for their injuries, right? I’d have thought both ones would stop either running until they were getting over them. Any experts?
id love to see Jones or Hunter attempt a don’t argue
Adding to this thread in case others don’t read individual player threads.
Navicular stress fractures are notoriously difficult to treat . Take longer than other parts of foot to heal.
Jayden Davey still not training with the main group?
Sheesh
not as long as plantar plate tears???
At least there is some hope that they will find the issue that is probably responsible for our soft tissue injuries etc since we tragically left our beloved Windy Hill
Player plate in the under surface of toe joint. It is a nuisance injury compared to navicular fractures.
It’s “plantar” not “player” plate. You were talking about time to heal. PPTs do not heal in years; if you know otherwise, citation required.
Is Draper on track for rd1 ?
Sorry for the auto correction.
Planter plate tears repaired only occasionally. Yes they can be nagging problems. How ever navicular fractures can cause complete collapse of arch of the foot. Carrier ending injury.
Someone on Facebook has said that Nick Bryan has got a broken/fractured hand… has anyone heard anything credible that can confirm whether it’s true?
yup.
Check the Bryan thread and Training thread.
Other than Shiel and Tex doesn’t look too bad. Hopefully Draper gets back in Jan however not holding my breath
