With regard to Hunter? I think the club has already put out a statement.
My mistake, ‘Statements’ is much more accurate. Stringer’s groin is eagerly awaiting its annual flare up. Such a shame because he was having a stellar preseason.
It wasn’t in regard to Hunter, that’s a terrible blow for him. I’m just alluding to the annual injury circus we’re privileged to witness.
I have literally no faith we will be able to keep tall players fit for round 1.
Sometimes its just not fair on certain players. At the open session last week he was a standout & I was expecting him to be given a shot in the upcoming practice matches & then hopefully a senior game early in the year. He looked ready to grab his shot. Now we’ll almost certainly never know if he could have become a decent player. Bugger!
Yeah ok.
Well seemingly the club is on the right track with it. I doubt if that translates to immediate perfection but hopefully we continue to see improvement.
I really hope so, we simply have to keep our players fitter for longer.
I’m sick and tired of seeing the same best 22 names on LTI lists.
Wonder who will be next?
Reid, Stringer, Jones?
There should be a poll.
And so it begins
In order for it to begin, it had to have ended…
i had an uneasy feeling last night when myself and my bomber mates were saying how good it was to have a healthy list.
I feel for Hunter. He had some potential but I fear that this could be it for him. I really hope I’m wrong though…
it’s really sad to hear of a player who many of us felt, was about to produce the goods.
It’s so sad for the player who looks like he’s really put in and built up his body and fitness
Good luck jaiden hope you come back bigger and better than ever!!
This is the way
And so it has not ended…
why not all
AFL: Sam Draper latest injury update from Essendon | Herald Sun
Essendon big man Sam Draper will step back into training next week as he shrugs off a groin injury and firms as a chance to play in round 1.
Draper had groin surgery post-season and has largely been seen running laps away from his teammates since but has steadily built up kilometres.
Essendon said the ruck is planning to step back into training next week after he “has completed a strong running block

The Bombers have been cautious with the big man after a calf injury limited him to 14 appearances last year.
The Dons have further insurance for Draper this year with North Melbourne great Todd Goldstein training strongly, while Nick Bryan has continued to develop as a young ruck prospect.
“Todd is great, obviously Drapes is building up slowly so Todd is probably the one who is leading us on the track at the moment in terms of the No. 1 ruck spot,” forward Kyle Langford said this week.
“There is no doubt he (Goldstein) is here to play.”
Essendon meets Geelong for an official practice match on March 1 and play Hawthorn in round 1 on March 16.
Midfielder Dylan Shiel has also made short strides in his recovery from a foot issue, as he begins more running on solid grass.

The Bombers expect the 30-year-old to begin taking part in training next month, with his next task to begin agility work.
Key position player Sam Weideman has recovered from an achilles injury and is back into full training.
Unlucky rookie Jaiden Hunter has undergone surgery on his knee after rupturing his ACL last week.
Hunter was taken in the mid-season rookie draft by the Bombers last year but played just two VFL games before a back injury ended his season.
He had surgery this week and will step into his long rehab process.
Key position player Tex Wanganeen is the only other Bomber on the injury list, as he slowly builds up strength after foot surgery.
The Bombers will resume training next week after taking a four-day break over the long weekend.

Plenty of inaccuracies in there!
i’ll wake up tomorrow and find we have 24 players on the injury list with soft tissue injuries
So Draper had a ‘calf?’ Injury, obviously incorrect. Was it a groin related calf?
… what
