Interesting Ridley is still 3 weeks away given it was apparently a 3 week injury at most when he did it lmao

Reckon Draper gets the nod and plays predominantly forward. By all accounts he did well in limited minutes in the VFL praccy match.

Softening the blow :joy:

I don’t have an issue with Draper playing as a FF. I think it will allow wright to roam a bit more which will be better for him. It does leave our foreardline pretty, actually very, slow however.

Recipe for disaster. We need MOBILE talls.

I think Draper/ wright would work fine, but it’s the Langford/stringer additions that make it unworkable. One of stringer or Langford can’t be in the foreardline if Draper will be.

prolly will, but surely the obvious question is, is that a good/smart thing ?

missed the second half of the year, had a delyaed preseason, and has had a slight run around in the vfl on managed minutes wasn’t it.

I’m legit curious as to what the rush is to get him back so soon, esp when you have a superior ruckman, even at 36 in the lineup.
wasn’t this season about building better habits and being professional ?
yet the first chance they get to show change, it’s lets bring in an under done ruckman and shove him forward, cos you know, why not.

A good way to ensure a loss would be to include Kelly. Especially if we’re already a bit tall heavy (slow).

Kelly isn’t slow

Dude…

Don’t dude me he aint slow by any definition and super agile. You can’t play the roles he has he over his career and be slow.

kelly isnt great with ball in hand and this slows down our ball movement trying to find a “safe” kick sideways to heppell.

If Mcgrath was injured no doubt kelly plays as a lock down smallish defender.

hes not a rebounding half back or a winger.

yep i agree i think he also either does a safe chip kick or just goes down the line.
