Injury Updates

Maybe harsh. But literally what else is he supposed to say? Of course he’s ■■■■■■ off that his most experienced players are constantly injured

I think the club knows actions will be taken, knows people will be cut. They will tread water in language while people are involved for now.

From my understanding, there is clear frustration from coach and management and its being addressed.

He has no choice. Spin is good, because it keeps the media wolves at bay. In the meantime the club needs to go through the right processes of removing employees etc.

Wtf else is he going to say? It’s not his department, his expertise, or his job role to review where I think it’s clear this problem is. He could maybe comment on players preparation or fitness standards, which he has done a bit in the past. But otherwise, this is for others to address more than it is for Brad.

For Brad, it really is just about trying to make the best from the situation. In the full context of the interview he only says that it at least helps get someone like Clarke into the team, and now he doesn’t see Clarke coming out even with injury returns.

Every coach trots out the opportunity for other players to step up line when there are injuries.

They don’t dwell on the negatives and try and look at the positives.

thanks stabby for reminding us that last time we had this degree of injury carnage the AFL and their corrupt henchmen farked us over for 10 years

I’ll bet the soft ■■■■■ warm up inside the hangar on the spongy floor with the heaters on. Go outside in June July to the icy wind shithole ovals and PING SNAP.
Duh. Gee, I wonder why we are doing muscle injuries?

Surely someone can provide total number of soft tissue injuries divided by number of players .

That’s the number you need

If the same players are going down time and time again there’s your answer

Yeah, it’s peoples jobs and it is all out in the open. Imagine your boss going around and telling everyone you know “we are going to let Dwayne go, he just isn’t doing his job and we think he is subpar”

Wouldn’t even be your boss. It’d be like if the head of a different department within the company was going around saying “It’s a ■■■■■■■ crisis and Dwayne’s to blame. He’s just a terrible operator. Head office will sack him in a few weeks though, they’re just getting the correct paperwork together right now. Don’t tell Dwayne.”

Sounds like a challenge for one of our resident blitz nerds.

It’s an opportunity to get the big cannon out and shoot Murphy and the medical team out to space.

So essentially we’re happy with the child-like, patronising communications around “opportunity” and prefer that to actually addressing the issues.

Makes sense.

How about the coach says “It’s frustrating. We can’t afford to lag behind in this area and we can’t ignore it”.

A simple acknowledgement rather than ■■■■■■■ down our legs.

It’s like someone burning down your house and telling you it’s an opportunity to do some camping.

I’m sure they have already had those heated conversations behind closed doors. The general football public doesn’t need to know until the decision is made

Nah, we fkn do.

It’s really not that serious nor a big deal, its obvious to all and sundry our S&C program is a complete ■■■■■■■ shambles and significant changes will be made. Brad Scott just ■■■■■■■■ and whinging about it in a press conference doesn’t do any good for anyone

We’re caught between going easy on them because of our history over last 15 years and the Burgess approach which is to push them to build up their resilience

I can’t believe the 2012 fitness regime has flown under the radar for so long. Really should be an investigation into what was happening that year.

Just thought I would check in to see if Ridley’s leg had fallen off yet. I know it’s coming.
