It's time to move back to the MCG

This is probably the right take.

Ie our games vs StKilda, Footscray should always be at the G.

I dont mind us being interstaters MCG game as well sometimes though, as they request some as it’s where finals are played.

Hah, back in the days at Windy Hill, I was a Social Club member but preferred to watch the game standing in the Outer. Then after the game walked across the hallowed turf to the SC.

That was an experience that I’ll never forget being a young teenager. It was, let’s say, rough there.

I didn’t know the true smell of pis.s until I went to WH. Blokes standing on crushed cans for a better view, and the fog of pis.s

We could not afford social club membership, it was only for Protestant Toffs.

We (two of us) took in an esky with 24 cans of VB, drank last can in final garter, staggered across the ground to my home on Napier Street, threw the esky into the front garden, walked to the Chinese shop and had six dimsims each, and then had six pots at the Royal. That Mrs Fox hated footy.

When do you mean ? In the late 1960s it was only rough when we played Collingfilth. There was always a brawl under the scoreboard. Crowd was a bit restless in the 1970s, but we found it hard to win games so there was cause. After that Bomber crowds were pussycats.

I am neither Protestant nor a Toff, so must have got in on my charm and good looks. Actually, Emil (who any 70s SC members would know) made the way clear for me.

But, yeah, much better in the Outer.

All of you who reckon Docklands is alright have ■■■■■■■ Stockholm Syndrome.

Only time I used to frequent the place was with a Mate who worked with Paul Doran who was the Social Club Manager for years, as well as working for the Dept of Defence in Australian Government.

Emil Eugene, long time divi marketing committee leader. A great servant of the club.

Forget going to the mcg, send us to lionhart reserve
