Jackets Dodoro

He’s the best in the league at not getting what we want for players leaving? Is that what you’re saying?

Can we at least agree on 1 given - having paid 2 x 1st round picks for Shiel last year, thats the minimum Dodoro should accept in return for JD this year. I get that even if we accept pick 87 & Ben Ronke the clappers will still clap but realistically there needs to be some standards set by the club. He’s contracted for 700K+ for next year so there’s no way Sydney are offering anything under 900K per year so they can pay a comparable draft price. They need him to market their manufactured club to a fickle audience so again we need to make them pay for the privileged.

Didn’t happen. We got a second round back. So the transaction we paid was NOT two first round picks.

We still paid 2 1st round picks we just paid it for Shiel & a second round pick.

I’d happily accept 2 firsts and give them our GWS second back.

I’d call that loyalty, and if a club has this mysterious thing called culture, then I bet they have loyalty too. But I don’t think they’re the same thing.

I would take Papley over 9 everyday of the week.

I would not given them the 2nd either

To get Papley we’d have to meet FC’s ridiculous offer rumoured to be $700,000. Not worth that.

Gee I wonder who leaked that. Maybe FCFC.

Hey will be our Raz replacement this year or when he leaves next year. Can use his money on him.

Hopefully Dodoro is tucked up in bed getting a good night’s sleep - he’s got quite a different situation from previous ones to negotiate.

Having just lost the player who could have been the difference between us finishing 8th or 4th he shouldn’t sleep for a month

He would’ve counted picks to send him off to sleep and then dreamt about the perfect trade period.

Why has he lost the player?

We’ll demand 2 first round picks and a player

We’ll end up with a future first rounder and we will like it.

Will be on SEN in a few minutes

Jackets at the negotiating table is the only thing that is feared about the once mighty Essendon football club any more.

He’s not going to ■■■■ his pants.

He will get a good deal or there will be no deal.

As long as Daniher is happy to stay a year then we absolutely must not bend at all.

Sounds to me that Jackets won’t entertain “a fair” deal for Joe. Seems it would take what most would consider “overs”, for a deal to happen. So, what would overs look like?

It certainly sounds like a last trade day deal, if at all. Which probably won’t allow time to for us to use compensation to trade in a big name replacement.

I’m not expecting a successful Joe trade and he’ll be at EFC next year.

I’m not always a fan of the players he acquires but I can’t fault his trade negotiations. Always fights hard for EFC.

I am actually a bit optimistic Sydney will not be up for a protracted negotiation which Adrian lives for.

That won’t happen. What a pessimist.

“Overs” is exactly what we should expect!

Tom Harley and the Swans organisation is looking more and more like sketchy lying sacks of ■■■■ right now. Paying overs should go someway of washing away the stench they’ve created. Otherwise it’ll be open season on Sydney from 17 clubs.
