He’s the best in the league at not getting what we want for players leaving? Is that what you’re saying?
Can we at least agree on 1 given - having paid 2 x 1st round picks for Shiel last year, thats the minimum Dodoro should accept in return for JD this year. I get that even if we accept pick 87 & Ben Ronke the clappers will still clap but realistically there needs to be some standards set by the club. He’s contracted for 700K+ for next year so there’s no way Sydney are offering anything under 900K per year so they can pay a comparable draft price. They need him to market their manufactured club to a fickle audience so again we need to make them pay for the privileged.
I’d call that loyalty, and if a club has this mysterious thing called culture, then I bet they have loyalty too. But I don’t think they’re the same thing.
Sounds to me that Jackets won’t entertain “a fair” deal for Joe. Seems it would take what most would consider “overs”, for a deal to happen. So, what would overs look like?
It certainly sounds like a last trade day deal, if at all. Which probably won’t allow time to for us to use compensation to trade in a big name replacement.
I’m not expecting a successful Joe trade and he’ll be at EFC next year.
Tom Harley and the Swans organisation is looking more and more like sketchy lying sacks of ■■■■ right now. Paying overs should go someway of washing away the stench they’ve created. Otherwise it’ll be open season on Sydney from 17 clubs.
