Jake Melksham

Seems to put all sorts of pressure on himself. When he is on he plays a creative game that most of our midfielders lack. Def needs to pull the finger out though, get outside of his own head and hunt the footy more often. Looking forward to him belting some ■■■■■.

I agree, because his best football is when he is suited up, sitting in the stands...

Meh.
I'll expect A grade football from him when he gets A grade opportunity.

Hold on, he has had plenty of opportunities. He was very good in the second half of last year, hopefully he can find that sort of form.

I'm sure he will.

It's just his turn now.

In two weeks time we'll be complaining about Jobes drop in form - won't have made a single dint on the scoreboard.

He's still got to do it though.
I've always agreed with the sentiment that more responsibility means better footy for Jake, and I'm confident he'll stand up over the coming weeks.
But if he doesn't... Then some of the knocks on him are going to start being warranted.
I have faith that he will stand up again, and I genuinely hope he does, because we desperately need him to.

:D  :D

Nasty, but that's his recent form, unfortunately.

*sigh*

useless. Utterly utterly useless

Sorry Jake, can't defend this, keep your head up and work your way back!

Negligible trade value.

Trade Jetta and throw in Melksham as a bonus.

I've been very, very patient but it's tie to concede.  The problem is that he's only played about 10 good games out of about 50.  His decision making has been terrible lately and he's lazy defensively, just doesn't bust a gut.

Time for him to go in the “Dont play another game” list with Leroy

*sigh*

Until tonight I have given him the benefit of the doubt but on tonight's performance unfortunately I am leaning towards your sentiments. I was thankful when he was subbed out.

Thankful? Geez, you should have seen me ;)

Ok, no more me posting in this thread. I have calmed down now

I usually defend Jake and whilst I still think he could become a good player today's game was utter ■■■■, deserves to be dropped.

If Howlett has to play 2s then Melksham MUST go.

Nothing more needs time said, pathetic. Jackson Merrett straight in.

I don't like bagging players but he was horrendous tonight. Absolutely horrendous

And I think the coaches agreed

Love jake, but…

Smelly.

Just a player.

His best is handy and warrants selection. But would be no loss if he played two’s for a FEW weeks.

Let’s see what O’Brien brings to the table.

Utter ■■■■■.

Career killing season. Lucky he signed that 2 year contract after his 10 weeks of excellence.

overrates his kicking ability - and goes for kicks that he cannot pull off (to be fair - I can sympathize  - use to throw up the 3 ball in U/15s and never make the distance)

horrible tonight

that said, very dangerous posting in these players thread after a loss like that
