He's probably our most consistent player. Other guys have been up and down, but Jake just keeps nutting out mediocre performances week in, week out. I honestly can't recall a single good performance from him this season. Based on his second half of 2013, I was really hoping he'd be a B&F contender this year, but instead he's back to his 2012 form, when he got a game every week for no good reason.

It was solid and deserving of a spot in the team, but nothing more.
Starting to think we've been watching Lady Melksham this season.
When he screwed up a handball that led to a goal chappy and howlerll and paddy went at him big time. Myers came and cooled the situation. First time I’ve seen a group go at a player like that in a long time. Keeping him on the team isn’t great for morale. He needs to earn his place not get a spot because his long term career plan written by coaching staff says so.
With Watson out I think he needs to play in the middle to see what he's got. If he can't do it then I think he should be dropped.
Very disappointing footballer. Has something, but we see it so infrequently. I thought he'd have a break-out year the way he finished up last season. I had him in my supercoach team I was so confident. Turns out the opposite.
Doesn't get involved enough, but when he does makes dumb decisions. By my reckoning he's juat about out of chances. How many years in the system now? 5? How many really good games in that time? And how many really bad? The ratio is all off. By now he should be a senior player.
I'd give him one more chance, but give him some real responsibility. Time to step up with the skipper out. And I'd give him some tough love - he's had it too easy. I suspect Bomba is starting to think the same.

From say round 11 last year he averaged approx 21 disposals 5 marks just over 1 goal per game. It wasn't spectacular but it was better than solid. He hasn't come close to that this year & has clearly gone backwards. I've been a believer that he would come good but he must be dropped. We cannot afford to continue the last decade of players not developing because we foster lazy behaviours.
