James Hird — January 2017 onwards

Everything aside it’s great to hear he’s in a better place. No matter what he did/didn’t do, no one deserves to be in the spot he was because of a fkn sport. Happy he’s going well

Well said. Great to see him doing well.

I cheered and clapped when he present the Norm Smith. Announcing Dusty certainly helped drown out the negative vibes.

I was only listening to the radio at that stage but sounded largely positive?

Would’ve been nice to see a handshake from Dusty but then again clearly today was not about James. Great to see him.

Here you go.
Should have been Bachar. Dusty was good though.

As soon as his name was mentioned, a boo sounded, which was immediately overwhelmed by a roar.

He also handled it spectacularly and gave the attention straight over to dusty asap.

Good to see the Tigers players applauding him too when he was announced.

A small portion of crowd booed but they were all worthless flogs so who cares. Sir James rocked it

Give Dusty some credit, he gave James a handshake and a pat of respect. Although no angel, Dusty would know a thing or two about how the media and those in power distort the truth.

Bring him back to the club in a coaching/development capacity. He could get Francis in the physical shape needed.

Smartest presentation ever. Short sharp and the fact it was Dusty who won, denied the feral crowd time to boo.

Apparently Hardwick gave a good speech.

Imagine he did a Ross Glendinning and gave the medal to B Houli?

Yep, his feet were covered but there were no signs of nail scars on his hands.

As a player Hird could walk on water, so maybe he could perform a miracle with Francis?

Get him off PlayStation and running on sand dunes.

How professional was Hird in his preparation for the game. That’s what standard Francis needs to reach.

Yep, humble and respectful and a gee up for the tiger army. Very well done.
