If anything his own experiences dealing with depression will help him with his relationships with his players and coaches who have their own troubles.

Was Cerberus really a troll though? He/she maintained the whole way through that there was no legit evidence which was true, it got political and were hung out to dry on a theory of maybes and could have beens.

But the issue is it’s not fine for lots of footballers including the game and other fans.
They are issues that other coaching prospects just don’t have.

Hird is a polarising choice.
Thats just history. Not a take.
but I seriously do think its an issue if Hird had health problems again as coach.
Who would feel culpable?

Hird attempted suicide in 2017. He was sacked in 2015. You are drawing a long bow to connect the two. The media is to blame pure and simple and now he has support across the media. Think HS, McGuire and even segments of the Age. And importantly he has his own voice on ch9.

At some point, with due diligence, you take extra care to not infantilise somebody who has fought tooth and nail against mental health issues and survived.
I understand what you are saying may come from a place of concern but it is not helpful or fair.

No I don’t think they were a troll, but they certainly got overly vague with what was going on.
