James Hird — Sept 25 onwards

nope. he could offer to coach for free and i’d say get him the ■■■■ away from the club.

the only way I would approve of him being coach again (not that it matters to anyone but me) is if the people who want hird back, are linked to his fate.
So when he fails a second time and is sacked, those people who are for it, the coteries who keep pushing this stupid agenda, anyone who says yes to it, is wiped from ever being able to hold a membership for the EFC ever again, and sure as ■■■■ not allowed to be put in positions at the club, that ultimately have a say over how the club is run.

that’s the problem with this hird bullshit, there’s no consequences to people saying it, and when it would fail again they just turn around and get another shot, and keep their influence, and get to have another go at it.

So maybe a more pertinent question would be, if your ability to support essendon was linked to Hird coaching tenure, would you do it ?

Maybe he does. It’s just every time I hear him interviewed it sounds like he is lost and asking for directions back to the old folks home.

That’s an interesting question. Is that why clubs always enlist an external panel to find a coach these days, avoids having skin in the game?

It’s called “Sucking them in” and it’s working for him.

not really, the board still have to give a panel a directive on what to look for.

look at barham though. turned the club upside to sack rutten cos he didn’t like what rutten was doing or producing or that the players didn’t like or respond to him. sacks him, tries at the last minute to get clarko, fails, goes through a “process” and then randomly brad scott turns out to be the supposed best candidate.

gives him a 4 year deal was it , under the premise he will get more out of the previous iteration of the side. for 2 years that fails, and then scott gets an extra year added on and a change of direction, but can’t and or won’t say rebuild, and this extension is after the fact that he wouldn’t meet certain KPI’s to get the contract extension.

He then puts in place fail safes to not allow scott to be sacked prematurely, and makes the club pay handsomely if they do, just to avoid his tenure as president being shown up for the absolute shitshow it is.

now barham has had a massive helping hand in creating the shitshow he has, and guess what he still gets to be a member of the club, he will still sit pretty in his little coterie groups, and those groups will tell the club what they want because they give a ■■■■ ton of money, and we go around in circles cos of it.

but again david barham has royally ■■■■■■ the club over the last 4 years, and the consequences of that fact for him ?? absolutely nothing, he still gets his cushy membership status, still gets to be apart of the club etc etc. there is absolutely no consequence to people making decisions that absolutely ■■■■ over the club, that’s why these wankers keep doing it.

Hey LincolnDon617

How’s this for a shirt?

At the Bradford match in January, I won Tendayi Darikwa’s MotM match-worn shirt. A couple of weeks ago, I asked nicely at the ticket office, and they sent it to the training ground for signatures. The team and Skubala.

Just picked it up this morning.

Im up for that as long as it goes both ways….if he’s a success then the naysayers can all ■■■■ off

My god you are so lucky. I’m loving that shirt. Did you get a message from Skubala?

I hope you find a way to frame it on your wall that is amazing.

Wimbledon tomorrow, could be promotion day if Lincoln win & Bolton lose

Great post. Add to that our current president was vice president to tick off scotts extension

Oh yeah. Can’t wait.

You going?

Will be celebrating with a mate afterwards if promotion occurs tomorrow. Probably at Spoons.

No message. Skubala signed it.

Yes I‘ll be there can‘t wait, the place will be buzzing, to be promoted with 6 games to go will be special. I‘m imagining if it happening, it will feel unbelievable, the journey we have been on as a football club has been nothing short of incredible, it‘s also a big credit to the board for putting us in this amazing position to compete at such a high level.

I never thought back in August/September we would be in this position, this is a special time to be an imps fan

What utter BS ?

I never really liked Barham but all he has got is grief from being Club President, and you keep spouting this crap about Coteries running the place. They are all just passionate supporters with too much money who drink too much. Members vote in the Board so blame us if you are unhappy, not the silly sod who put up their hand thinking they can make the place better.

Why the Fark don’t you stand for the Board instead of being a keyboard knucklehead who bags everyone.

how about a compromise in this imaginery situation I created where there’s consequences, if we were wrong about a specific coach leading to a premiership, we have to wear shirts when celebrating a premiership that state " i was wrong, and all hail coach x" …

we’ve all been through to much ■■■■ as supporters of this club, to not get to celebrate IF they ever turn it around. see and people say i lack compassion, pfft.

Even Mark Kennedy is better than Brad Scott

I would rather have him, he would play Cillian Bourke and turn him into a superstar then he would get some GAA players in. Like what he did with Paudie o Connor and Danny Mandroiu.

Irish revolution at Essendon
