- more money - we might be able to compete in this area
- more opportunities to play firsts - we should be able to offer this as our side is either not great or young, however we don’t have a great record here (Giles anyone?)
- opportunity to play in a flag - we haven’t been close for 15 years now
- they’re old and their old club doesn’t want them anymore - this is where we rule the Roost (seriously, Allan, Murphy, Canporeale, Cooney, Chapman et al)
In other words - we’ll probably end up with Brian Lake or David Hale instead of Anderson

Seems people are seriously over rating him, what has he actually done? Nothing.
1 good game at senior level and I think that may have even been NAB cup IIRC that had everyone circling for Supercoach.
This isn’t a scenario like Josh Kennedy who absolutely killed it both in seniors and reserve level.
I went to the VFL prelim and he really didn’t do all that much. IMO he is just a slighty more consistent Shaun Edwards type that can play midfield better.
