I canāt wait to be typing āIF LAVERDE DOESNāT PLAY GONNA THROW WOOSHA FROM THE TOP DECK AT THE Gā
Exclude Saad and McKenna who do you play on the premier small forwards?
We had some arguments over whether Hooker, Hurley, Francis and Ambrose could play in the one backline. Too tall?
Well take out Hooker and put in Hartley, and the coaches must think it might work.
Will be interesting to see how it goes.
Heās been best 22 since 2015. What are you talking about? I donāt think we have anyone with his skill set (height, pace, tank, play reading ability) who has gone past him.
Dumb question, itās been a long day but parking at Ikon Park - likely or unlikely?

Yep. Bomber threw him in for a few games over the 2014 season and he showed a bit of promise, and since then heās been fixture when fit
How good to see Joey listed. Itās a very positive sign on what is still a careful journey back. Hereās hoping for a successful return.
We canāt lose, really.
Be cause he is in the āmanagedā brigade.

I asked previously amd I have checked a few places out. Kinda depends on which direction but the back streets immediately surrounding will clog up and take ages to get out of. Best to go between Lygon and Nicholson or off Sydney Rd and catch tram a few stops.
How does that work?
Competition for spots heats up
Long v Ridley
Ambrose v Hartley if Hooker not ready round 1
Mitch Brown v Mckernan
Then bench players just need to put best foot forward - Jok, Guelfi, Laverde, Baguley
If they can be impact players maybe a bench spot is on the cards.
Plus we gotta fit these guys in too
In: Hooker, McKenna, Fantasia
And Myers.
Itās interesting naming Long in the ground and mckenna on the bench.
Carlton have a tall forwardline posted so 4 tall defendees May work ok this week
McKay Hurley
curnow Ambrose
Phillips/Lobbe Hartley
McGovern Francis
Thanks heaps for this info mate, itās really helpful. Iāll take your advice and park between Lygon and Nicholson or off Sydney Road.
It will not matter, the ball aināt getting in there
With all due respect Ivan, he hasnāt played a proper match for 18 months, and heās still not back to full fitness.
Letās see if he can get his tank, leap, awareness back first, and reassess where he fits.
Gleeson had a lot of opportunities to get to where he was, who is to say Lav, Guelfi, Ridley, D Clarke couldnāt do the job just as well?
With our āwalk up startsā being Hooker and Hurly as our big guys down back, Saad and McKenna our quicks, plus Francis, I donāt think Gleeson is necessarily the missing link. Thereās Ambrose and Dea to consider, plus itās a good spot to give someone an apprenticeship.
Thatās how I see it anyway.
