Hurls is doing a solid for Jobe, while he delays his announcement, it means Jobe doesn’t get hassled by the media and can enjoy his break. Good bloke is Hurls.

Ask him why they would want Hurley when he’s about to cop another 12 month suspension for breaching the terms of his initial suspension. Very to call BS on that one.

So he’s playing forward then?

Is it me or are most bosses narcissistic w@nkers? I reckon 80% of footy rumours are made up by “bosses” just to big note themselves in front of their subordinates.

The other 20% are communication specialists.

HIbberd and Hurley to remain at TV during 2017. I am finally with Barry Davos on this one.

From your own source or just what you feel? As in, they will stay for the final year of their contract and test the waters and if they like the direction the club is heading they will re-commit?

This is quite the about face from the following six posts:

The banned players are permitted to attend TV on or after September 12. Thats a bit over 6 weeks off. They were banned on January 12. That’s 26 weeks ago. Give or take. What is beginning to disturb me is the silence surrounding Hurley. He may have privately expressed he wishes to stay. But if he has decided to come back: can someone anyone outline to me in simple language how Hurley, the club, the other players, the sponsors or the supporters benefit from the silence? We all need a good news story. If he is hanging out for more money or harbours small doubts about his love for the club then it may be time for him to move on. Doubters please refer G Ablett Jnr.

The more time gone without Hurls confirming his love for the club; the more worried I get. Think Ablett Jnr, Dangerfield and Franklin.

No longer travelling with the boys in Europe. GONE.

Young players are tired and we continue to get kicked. Woosha running out of positives in his pressers. We need a good news story. If we were close to signing Hurley the club surely would push that out as a good news story. No news continues to be bad news.

+ 1. He will have made a decision by now. The silence is designed to reduce the amount of time he will need to endure those howls of indignation which will accompany his announcement. What possible reason would he have for not announcing if he was in fact going to stay?
Refer Ablett Jnr.

I have been barking on about this for a week. If he was going to stay what in the name of Paul Van Der Haars stubby holder would prevent him from saying so? What possible benefit is gained by not leaking a positive morsel to we the faithful?

Care to elaborate?

because people know nothing and will change their opinions upon hearing any fickle stupid rumor/ innuendo that their boss tells them/ see on bigfooty/ heard from someone who knows someone who paints the lines at the TVSC

Dons hope Suns win can spark 2017

By AAP

The four premiership points won by Essendon on Sunday could be meaingless but the Bombers are hoping the signal it sent will be worth a whole lot more.

John Worsfold’s side arrived at Etihad Stadium against Gold Coast up for the fight, earning just their second win of the season.

And boy did they celebrate.

Cheer squad members shed tears at the Lloyd end, with Worsfold high-fiving fans on the boundary line.

For three-goal hero Orazio Fantasia, singing the club song was a highlight of his career.

“It was unbelievable,” he told AAP.

“Especially for the guys like Jake Long singing for the first time … there was about five of them, it was amazing.”

Fantasia said he hoped the win would lift the playing group - both this season and for next.

“It boosts our confidence and instills more confidence in our game plan and our structures,” he said.

“If we can keep believing in that we can go really far.”

Fantasia believes that spirit could help bring back the five uncommitted Bombers - including captain-in-exile Jobe Watson, Michael Hurley and Michael Hibberd - in 2017.

“If we put in performances like that, they can see what we’re doing. It has to make a difference,” he said.

“Surely they’re excited about what we’re doing on and off the field.”

Worsfold said he hoped the five players yet to commit wouldn’t need swaying.

“Let’s make the assumption they’re all over the line anyway so we don’t need that help,” he said.

"I’m very confident they know the way we’re positioning this footy club to go forward.

“They’re not sitting back guessing. They’re asking questions and I’m sure they’re getting pretty strong feedback in a positive way.”

I brought it up and about half an hour ago he said “Hurley has special exemption.”

Then just now as he was leaving, “oh he was only in the cafe.”
