Barnes was at the Hangar this week for some reason Was good to see though. Merv Keane as well
There would be a fair class action for the â â â â weâve had to endure these past 15 years!
Ask a Saints supporter.
Could see it happening either with an MBL or EPL team.
They donât know any better, so they are fine.
SMJ was female?

Probably serving the club!
SMJ was all things and nothing.
What did SMJ do that got him/her banned?
Was picken one of the dogs players who would constantly drop at the knees to get free kicks to get high contact?
Channeled the United States of Tara after one ban.
SMJ was female?
no.
Go get 'em boys.
How long before this is âsettledâ and relegated to being just another bulge under the AwFuLâs rug?..
And the dodgy research by some AFL assigned medical âexpertâ to sweep it under the rug.
AFL heroes go round the world to get ideas on how to negotiate the big bucks for the AFL while scrimping on player health ( except if itâs drugz)
Itâll be an interesting ruling.
1985 I donât know that there was really any useful data that concussions caused, or were linked to, more serious injury later in life.
Wikipedia tells me the NHL started a concussion policy/rotocol in 1997
So that knowledge should have been known and acted on during (for eg) Rookeâs career.
Perhaps not Barnesâ (or maybe the tail end, but heâd had unpteen concussions dating back to before being drafted).
Apparently Barnes is part of the second legal action that is hitting the AFaiL in the next 24-48 hours.
Peter Jess is involved in this one.
The AFL is facing a second class action over concussion, with former stars Darren Jarman, Shaun Smith, John Platten and the wife of former Tiger Shane Tuck involved in a case to be lodged in the Supreme Court of Victoria this week.
I have a lot of sympathy for anyone whose health is in really bad shape.
But i kinda think that itâs pretty obvious repeated hits to the head arent good for you.
Same with drinking too much alcohol on your head and liver or cigarette smoking on your lungs.
Would any of the guys struggling now not played the game had they known?
Is it going to stop people playing in the future?
Has the afl ever had rules which hasnt made the head sacrosanct? Ie tried to avoid contact through penalising play which endangers it?
Without knowing whats being asked of by the AFL in the lawsuit,
Im hoping the outcome of this is some sort of insurance fund that players have to tip into and the afl helps bankroll.
