The only advantage of playing Kelly at HF is that his turnovers are not as damaging there.
The talent pool is stretched pretty darn thin. And then comes Tassie.
I just hope they don’t acquire the lazy, unaccountable culture of mediocrity that everyone else has been infected with since coming here in the last decade at least.
The talent pool was pretty fkg good when Australia’s population was less than half what it is now. And even with Tassie there will be fewer senior teams than there were then.
The talent pool is fine, when you watch a lot of underage footy you realise how many quality footballers miss out on being drafted each year.
And its usually for no other reason than because they are well under six foot tall.
10-0 against norf
We own em.
Although i reckon we dont want them twice next year. They have a lot of young talent.
And yeah lets get McKay
Hobbs was impressive in. everything took massive hits and multiple efforts will be a star.
Martin was back to Martin earlier in the season top notch delivery inside 50 and kicked a few.
Langford - has that aura about him at the game all the kids looking out for him, superstar. reminded me of Lloyd.
we kicked a few points that could have been goals.
And it was a bit of a cripple fight 2 weak sides battling. but we got the chocolates and it was enjoyable. my boy was happy to get the win and start a few ess en don chants and a bit of the crowd joined in on he third tier.
McKay was good for them.
BTW if we do look to pick up a backup ruckman can we choose one who is a decent enough contested mark and who can kick goals?
at one stage we had Menzie (better today), Langford, Wright, Tsatas/Hobbs, Kelly and Guelfi - Is that the slowest forward line in the AFL? We wonder why the ball comes out do easily? They are not bad players it is just the wrong mix with not enough speed.
Needs to improve his kicking. He had a lot of turnovers, some under no pressure leading to goals.
Woah! If you mean “reliably kick goals from set shots” then you are setting a high bar that most of the current team would not meet.
Before I zone off to another dimension. I had the worst supporter sitting behind me that I have ever experienced. A North nuffie. If anyone that was sitting level 1 in bay 8 you might have heard him. The first 10 mins all I heard was how everyone was going to stand up and clap Cunnington at the 10 min mark. When they didn’t do it at 10.01 he was carrying on like a peanut. Every kick we done wasn’t 15, every tackle was high every farken thing we done was wrong and everything they done was right. I have been going to the footy for 40 years and have never experienced anything like it. Even one of the kangaroo supporters turned around and said shut the fark up. If he was a bomber supporter I would have been embarrassed. A couple of the younger kids in front of me were giving it back. I didn’t engage him but did the reverse psychology thing. He caught onto it and started firing up a bit but he was done at 3qtr time and pisssed off. The best last quarter I have experienced after that ■■■■. Like I said 40 years, been to all the grounds back in the day but you couldn’t write this stuff. He even done the loudest burp you can hear and his missus said I can smell that and it smells like ■■■■. Yeah I could smell it to Hahaha. Glad we won though.
Ruckmen who can take contested marks and kick goals aren’t backups, generally speaking.
Quiet you awful, awful man.
Grundy may be available!
I was being facetious
I wouldn’t be surprised if we did try and pick him up.
Our team has given up, did 6 weeks ago.
End us next week please GWS…
