So missing the finals burns but being humiliated in a final doesn’t? Just keeping winning Dons.
While there’s life there’s hope. We are getting solid players back and winning close ones. Yes we are beating a team away by one point that lost by 100 points at home, but it will be a sad day when I am begging to see my own team lose. And if we don’t make it, we can still do as much as reasonably possible to keep down any team whose name starts with C.

I did hear it once, maybe it was from the crowd as I was expecting play to stop.
any time a good team, a finals team, brings heat, we fold
we can beat and match the top teams in regular matches, but if they bring elite pressure, the class shows as it did with geelong
Pre bye i agree. But post buy, I haven’t seen us play in a manner that would give me an confidence we would be competitive in a final.
That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been improvement, but do you want the current teams form playing an elimination final?

No. It doesn’t.
It shows just how bad the psychology of this team/club is when playing cellar dwellers they are expected to not only beat but do so easily. It has been an issue for a long time. There is, currently, next to zero ruthlessness with this side.
Anybody who wants to have a genuine argument that our list is only 1 point better than the Eagles is taking the ■■■■. Or has been drinking a lot of it.

That’s a cop out. We should be smashing the bottom 2 teams who are clearly the 2 worst teams.
It’s the same excuses every year. 2 years ago it was Parish in the middle, now it’s others. When are we going to start performing and stop using kids as an excuse?

It’s actually probably both. Collectively our playing group behave differently depending on the level of the opposition.
I think it shows we lack discipline which is why we can take it right up to good teams, and then look horrible against the poorer ones.

I guess it’s kind of like when we say this year isn’t going be our year but two years from now will be our window. Insert you young players names. I think I’ve been reading that on here since 2008.

Parish was All Australian and in his 6th season 2 years ago.
But was only playing mid because of injuries.
