Kanga Kanga Kanga - review thread R22 2023

Did I say any of that? I was alluding to the fact that Essendon fans would get so ahead of themselves with a 100 point win coz we love to drink our own bathwater, and when was the last time we won by such a margin? Feels like a lifetime ago so I could imagine how much the players would be patting themselves on the back if they ever achieved such a thing. And I was alluding to the fact that Fremantle are a shithouse team that has beaten West Coast on their home ground by 100 whilst we managed to win by 1 point. You’ve completely misinterpreted it.

Was only using Kelly as an example

I wouldnt probably delist him but would be informing him his time will be spent mostly in the vfl

I was more just saying I dont think its blind faith keeping them in the team i think its a thorough assessment of their value

Most likely 17 other clubs know our fatal weakness; that weakness is so bad, even the worst sides can run the ball from deep in our forward line to deep in our defence, with hardly any resistance. They get plenty of looks with little or no pressure.

I don’t mind if every game we play from this point is a win by a couple of points and the opposition keep doing that to us. As long as we score more than them.

Missed the game been overseas, glad we got the win although it sounds like it wasnt convincing

yeah I don’t think so. they have a very solid club and success structure in place we should aspire to.

yeah north have a fair few good players and they played very well against Melbourne and nearly shook them for a large chunk of that game. you can only beat the team that turns up on the day . the west coast game was dead set garbage though.
if my memory serves me well we had 2 really really terrible games this year. Geelong and west coast. been conptetive in most and good in about a third of our games this year . above most expectations considering key injuries like Draper wright stringer and setterfield .

Kudos to the Eddie Ford Lover, he had a couple of nice cameos.

It sounded like there were far more north fans on TV. Same as the Doggies game, it sounded like there were more Doggies supporters.

Even if there are more Essendon supporters, we all sound emotionless

Bombers were louder at the ground IMO.
we were closer to the Essendon cheer squad though than North.

North fans mostly quiet, but got up and about in the third and fourth quarter when they thought they were a chance. Also Excited every time cunnington got the ball.

Nice of Scott to acknowledge Cunners with guard of honour from both clubs.

It’s possible that the cameraman is closer to the opposition cheer squad.

Norf cheer squad is regularly one of the loudest.

Crowd was generally very dead. The western top deck made noise one time all game… when I made them do so.

There was a higher proportion of Norf supporters at the away game at Windy Hill than at their home game at Docklands.

Not sure that flatters either team, but I guess the North women are actually worth watching.

Geez - that’s a young midfield

Rotate a fit caldwell and setters through that and there’s the future!

And Drapes of course

no but you see wanderlust we’re playing terribly, so we should give up on finals and play the kids instead

The one that really got me was when the Norf player had to go up for a high handball (or high bounce?) and Cox waited and tackled him hard round the waist taking his balance, as he should do. The umpire said it was a push in the back believe it or not. He actually grabbed him and took him off balance, neither went to ground. Push in the back???

Hang on, @Saucy reckons this is the same team that played a final under Truck.

All you need to envisage is any of the dozens of marvel stadium games where we’ve scraped in against crap opposition over the past 15 years.

It never changes
