I think the clubs are required to subsidise it… I don’t know how the economics work.

Pretty sure most Essendon game access memberships give you GA admission for away games. I assume these members can take their kids even if it’s an away game. I haven’t read the terms though…
Well that is a strong reason to stay away.
Lots of kids at yesterday’s game, most of them sitting in High Mark area on Level 2. (Obviously Grandparents had given them their seats) spent most of the day drinking coke, eating chips and playing on their electronic game thingo, plus an ice cream or two.

I find the adults who get abusive, or waayyyy too emotionally invested in games, far more annoying than any kids at the footy.
Kids at the footy are great. It’s generally all excitement. Beats constant cynicism I reckon.

Similar issue at Dees v Roos Sat night. Lady Up was using her MFC membership seats and we brought along 2 Roos (cue joke about both NMFC fans). They had their North cap and scarf and a staff member called them aside and explained that Dees members had paid a lot for these seats so they were not to display oppostion colours.
Lady Up said they were her guests and I told the bloke it was prety soft if supporters could not support their own team. As we left I thought this seemed crazy to me, but I bet Bacchus would love it…
