You’re always learning about guys whether they’re signed or not. Using the fact that someone has a contract at the club as a reason to not pick someone is quite a novel one. I only wished they’d used your reasoning and never picked Menzie after re-signing him. That sugar hit tasted more like bin juice.
I think Scott knows he’s part of their future plans. Guelfi maybe not. Same with Kelly.
So don’t pick a guy who is part of the future plans, pick guys who aren’t or mightn’t be.

I’m ok with selection.
Tsatas finished the year strongly with good progress on kicking and dominating VFL. I think a strong way to hit 2025 with positive feelings. Worst thing would’ve been he plays seniors, he gets swallowed up with pressure and ends year flat. I’m ok with him not playing.
Re others, he’s gone with experience and clearly wants as competitive a result as possible. Doesn’t want a flogging with kids manhandled. Play experience and hope they play competitively to end year head as high as possible under circumstances.
Why not play Shiel? Been in our best 3-4 last two weeks.
