The biggest shock for me is Joe has made it to 200 games. Gobsmacked. If he was still with us he would be on his 200 games as injured.

Things you could have said at any time for 24 weeks.
Selection could have gone two ways this week: throw the magnets around now, and the finals are out, or continue as is. Obviously, Scott has gone with the second option. I’m not as disappointed as I might have been. I see some logic in finishing off as we started and then starting new next year. I’m choosing to believe this will be the last game for a few of those named, and the team R1 next year will look quite different. Get this sh1tshow of a year done and wipe the slate clean. I hope so, anyway.

So we’ve selected (mostly) the same squad that has shat the bed post-bye for 2 years in a row. We’ve named Lual as an EMG who, let’s be honest, has probably been our worst performed VFL player on the year. Avoided picking Tsatas, SEH & Hayes despite strong VFL form to back in noted superstars Matt Guelfi, Jayden Laverde & Jake Kelly.
