I really really hope they have a clear plan and they are measuring progress (plus and minus) against it in an honest and fearless manner.
Talk of sentiment etc in managing players and how tough it is, sure I get it and yes it’s difficult, be it footy or any workplace, but it’s part of the job and it can’t interfere with achieving the ultimate goals. They must take priority.

After nearly 2 years in the job, I’m expecting Brad to now be in a position to make the ruthless decisions at EFC that are genuinely managerial, and hopefully unencumbered.

For me this team is too safe AGAIN.
Surely they could find a spot for Tsardis? No VFL this week. An opportunity to play some mid minutes and learn against Neale etc heading into preseason.
For me the selection is about not getting belted, and the optics of it two years in a row.
I still see us getting belted either way

I blame him for Mass. He was stuffed around a bit with team selection but he was also just in his 2nd year (and only got drafted halfway through the year before). He was getting opportunities early, which is more than most kids get.
He left because Disco offered him a one year rookie deal whereas it was 2 years on a senior list elsewhere. Wanted some security and our list manager didn’t value him highly enough (likely with input from Brad as well though).
