Last game (thank the lord) changes/discussion v Lions?

Honestly, Brad will want to back in the players who will be the future of the club

In Goldy, Heppell, Wright, Hind
Out Bryan, Caddy, Roberts, Hobbs

Now that’s something missing from the modern game -

the place kick !

Tony Ongarello (Fitzroy, 1952-1962) was the last place kicker in the game. He had a problem with accuracy, so he changed over to place kicks for his set shots at goal.

That might be handy at Essendon today…

So let me get this straight… you want your football team to lose just so a few people on an internet forum won’t get overly enthusiastic about the teams future prospects?

I’ll be on the couch!

Another game? Really? Do we have to?.. forfeit

We should hold a st essingtons party that clashes with the game. Live stream it on the scoreboard at the Gabba. Imaging 5000 dons fans ■■■■■■■ on, remembering the metric ■■■■ tonne of good times from the last twenty years.

If you check the scores of the brisket game, straight up ejection from the party.

Ps. Someone else can organise it, I cbf.

If you are reading this, I have been cryogenically frozen with explicit instructions to only be awoken if Essendon finish on top of the ladder at the end of a home and away season (non pandemic years only). I could only afford 1000 years. Maybe I will see you again, or maybe not. God bless.

Good night, sweet prince. Although you only planned for a mere millennium, your conditions may not be met before the heat death of the Universe.

Can we please just drop Menzie - I will be happy if that happens. Did everyone see the stat last week that of all players who have played 6 or games this year he is ranked 521 out of 521.

That’s partially correct. Last I checked, the term ‘happy clapper’ applies to fans both on Blitz and in the real world.

I take it you’d prefer the sugar hit of an inconsequential win next week over a defeat that might result in real and lasting change.

I’m not sure a belting will bring about the change many desire.

It didn’t last year.

It takes a special coach and de-development team to get someone who was not so bad last year to get to be that bad this year. Take a bloke whose “skill” is on the forward flanks and play him in defence.

What could go wrong? FFS, what were they thinking? Do they actually think?

Surely one of Saad or Hayes plays. Archie R didn’t embarrass anyone when he came in (btw nice blind turn in traffic on Friday night) and Brad can inflate the debutant figures!

Agree but he didn’t really play that much in defence except for Carlton game?

I am only going on reports on Blitz but they said he played there in recent games.

In: 2mP, Hayes, Tsatas, Heppel
Out: Who cares so long as it’s not Caddy or Roberts?

I have a theory that we are hanging on to Menzie to get pick61 off Tassy in 2028

12 goals in his first game. Hard to imagine.

Im worried Brad thinks hes struck gold in weed down back, so hell play him there again this week and sign him up for 4 years. Anyone who thinks this plan could work, i e. Liam Jones etc… cannot work as Weed cant take a mark at AFL, which is the key. Im praying for a clean out into pre season and should start now. Drop Weed, debut Hayes. Sure, baptisism of fire but bandaid ripped off, hes had a taste and givrs he and club/is some enthusiasm (maybe?) into pre season.
