Last game (thank the lord) changes/discussion v Lions?

Great question.

It is modern day folklore to explain him being shithouse the last few months. People feel better ascribing that to an injury rather than to the alternative

Good idea to be getting in a week before the players crowd out the beach to do the same.

They wouldn’t want to be running into me on their travels that’s for sure.

Commiserations to Mrs Goldy.

So, no Ibeza for you then. Sticking to Eastern Med I assume.

Was at the VFL today and I saw Weid in the crowd. I gave him a piece of my mind. By that I mean did a double take when I recognised him and then continued to wait for hot chips in the canteen line.

I had hot chips for dinner. Great hangover cure.

This is such a nothing game, everyone knows we are going to lose. Heppells retired, brad isn’t going to blood any kids, finals are off.

Very disappointing season all in all, I’m more keen to see what we do in the off season then this game.

the vibes are off

all the spanners are going to get a game and we’ll win

not good

send in the crabs

In - Cox, Guelfi & Ridley
Out - Weid, Menzie & Perkins

If you want, add in Hep and take out anyone (Gresham or Hobbs are likely candidates) to further unbalance an already unbalanced team.

Let the guys who have screwed up the back end of the year ‘finish their rep and fark off’ so to speak.
I don’t want any new guys in to sell hope or fluffy little pedals of flowers to soften where we’re at.

Play the best team and go into pre-season completely embarrassed and out of our depth again and go from there.

Give hayes a debut so at least he has a taste of it and knows what he’s got to work towards over the off season

We seem to struggle with modern day footy so let’s wind the clock back.
*Ruck changing in the pocket
** Ruck-Rovers changing on the flank
*** Rovers changing in the forward pocket.
The bench can wait for someone to break down.

McGrath McKay Hayes
Redman Lav Roberts
Martin Shiel Cox
Perkins Caddy Caldwell**
Bryan* Langford Parish***
Draper* Durham** Merrett***

Interchange: Hobbs, Kelly, Setterfield, Tsatas

Knowing Brad Scott:

In: Wright, Hind, Tsatas (sub)
Out: Weidemen, Hobbs, Menzie

Circumlocution ?

Not bad - but I’d replace the fragile or concussed Cox and the “injured” Langford with Setterfield and Jones.

Let;s wind it right back: Put a cardboard cutout of John Coleman at FF.

Its performance would not be too embarrassed compared to our recent FFs.

Coleman ? Why not a cardboard cutout of Albert Thurgood ?

JC played FF while AT played around the ground, so one of our muppets would have to carry his figure around, and it would probably be too much work for them.

And for me, JC is #1 player of all time. No one ever will match the heights he set. No-one will ever break his records. He was a champion not only on the field, but also off it, coaching us to 2 flags after some time in the wilderness. (“Only twelve years? Looxury!”). He made #10 the most revered number at Essendon. (At least until the modern era. A string of CoE since him have inherited it. GO’D was stoked to get that number. The nuffies now probably don’t even know its significance)

But yes, put AT’s character at CHF or mid. For mine he should have been ranked #3 in the Essendon Pantheon. He was the best player in Australia between establishment of the game and at least till the 1930’s

And pile up the dirt for his place kicks.
