I hear you. I am not sure I can ever be as emotionally invested again. I chose to stay home for both blues and saints games ( I have reserved seats) and am not sure when I will go again, For the energy expended to get so little back is heartbreaking. I agree.
Iāve long said that I have no expectations of future successā¦not with this list (manager).
I still tune in to watch the matchesā¦I still have some emotions at stakeā¦and I can still get annoyed if weāre totally dominated.
But Iām actually feeling very relaxed after that match. We had the ball in our hands a lot of the time. There was effort. We had our chances, scored plenty of goalsā¦it didnāt feel like a waste of time, watching itā¦Iām quite happy to fall back on the ābetter draft pickā silver lining after that match.
And I think it was a pretty bruise-free/niggle-free matchā¦two playing groups who know the season is over, donāt want to get injured, but also donāt want to cop too much media attention.
A loss is much easier to swallow when youāre sitting in a biergarten in Bavaria, putting away a few WieĆbier Dunkels and can only catch the odd few minutes of the stream. Suddenly the football and our mediocre, underachieving team seems⦠insignificantā¦
61.9% efficiency inside 50, and 18 marks inside 50 (against us), must be unheard of? Crazy numbersā¦
Youāve convinced me though tbh Iāve been on the Zerk bus for a while. Deserves a run of games up back.
I donāt feel this game needs to be a giant source of doom and gloom. We didnāt play that horrifically and the eagles were absolutely on with their goal kicking through the first 3 qtrs and as others have mentioned, that was probably the strongest side the eagles have named all year. Obviously plenty of room for improvement though.
Are you serious? It was a disaster. It was the strongest team we have fielded too. The Eagles suck
āWe were disappointed with the way we dropped off.
āWe werenāt able to go to another level once West Coast raised the barā
HAHAHHAHAHAHAJAJAHAHAHJAJAHAAHAHAHAHHAAH oh man Rutten you are SO deluded!!!
I have concluded that the players like Rutten but he is not up to it as an AFL coach. Nice guy but not good enough in his ability to develop and implement a competitive game plan. Needs to go!
Just imagine though, the good times Hep and boys and the lads would have had post game though. Just a few laughs and beers and the boys and maybe some babes and brewskies and a good laugh with the lads.
Just the boys, good chats.
Equal scoring shots should equal same score.
We may lose some very ā ā ā ā ā ā off players @ end of year.
Coach has to go!
Beats moving to Norf when we could have, all those year ago.
Honestly, does any player in our team actually practice goal kicking?
I know when Matty Lloyd was playing he would often before or after training grab a heap of footballs and just practice his kicking, in his own time. Perhaps our players need to do this too in their own time. I wonder if anyone does?
NO, WE SUCK big time. This team is out of ideas.
Rutten may have been a good defender when playing for Adelaide but; as a coach, he has no idea. He is completely flummoxed and out of ideas with this team. The game plan is useless. Our team has nearly bottomed out.
Will we lose players at the end of the season? Its likely!
The Board and XC have really screwed up this time. Rutten has to go.
The final insult! Giving pick 2 to Dudoro to waste!
Well, it was interesting that the commentators did their normal thing and highlighted 2MPs tendency to go too far right when coming in from the rhs of the 50.
Heās probably our most reliable set shot kick nowadays so not dishing, but he should be sorting out his issues. As all our forwards should. Iāve said for a while on here we absolutely should go get a fully funded goalkicking coach and clinic. Even if we only get Lloydy part time ⦠get him in.
We shouldāve won last night.
Lasted until 3tr time.
Then went to bed.
Rabble.
In trouble, what the fck the Board in their wisdom, have extended his contract. He is probably safe for another year??? Oh my goodness.
We are the bottom feeders of the AFL. It will be a long time at this rate, before we see the light of day as a team if things at the club, stay as they are. And the Board has a lot to answer for. I guess thatās what happens when those in charge, do not do their job properly and go through the processes of appointing someone for a coaching position.
Rutten and the Captain, have much in common, nice blokes both of them.
2MP goal kicking is the least of our worries. In fact itās one of the only good things. Had a bit of an off night in front last night though.
Itās easy to say ādo we practice goal kickingā, but we need to also practice āhow to play footballā. Might not leave much time for goal kicking.
