Clearly recruited in response to marigliani’s retirement yesterday.

Spot on Soulnet, Mercs is exactly whom I thought of when watching his tape. This kid might be a gem of this draft and surprise us all. Beautiful kick on both feet, blistering speed but he has something a lot of players don’t have, poise. This kid just seems to always have time and space. Whether thats because of his excellent side-step or his pace allows him to take a one-two step out of danger, he gives himself a brief moment to settle and pick out his target. First option?, nup, doesn’t seem to need it like other players.

If you watch his tapes, there is many times he puts on the afterburners, then slows and steadies just before release. Nothing more frustrating than seeing quick players use their pace only to shank their kick because their legs are going to quick or they’ve exhausted themselves in the run, Morgan looks like he knows how and when to use his speed.

Sidesteps more than Edwards (but like Mercuri does it with no fuss).

Question is, who is now the fastest on the list. Colyer, Morgan or Eastin?

Would have been allot higher if it weren’t for the ‘I’m not sure I want to do this’ let’s hope he is over that and doesn’t have second thoughts when the AFL level commitment requirements dawn on him.

I don’t know why, but I think he will be the opposite, he will feel privileged and take it with everything he has.

List ain’t slow now after this influx of pace

Morgan’s National Combine Results:

20 m sprint: 2.88 (100th percentile)
Beep: 13.1 (15th percentile)
Agility: 8.07 (99th percentile)
3km: 11.03 (41st percentile)
Repeat Sprints: Decided against competing

Got in the 97th percentile in the clean hands test

Add tank and desire and this kid could be the steal of the draft.

brem06's National Combine Results:

20 m sprint: Decided against competing
Beep: Comatose at level 3.
Agility: Decided against competing
3km: Expected finish: Early January
Repeat Sprints: Decided against competing

Develop his aerobic capacity over a couple of pre seasons and he could be quite handy.

Agree with the Mercuri comparison after watching his highlights. Really smart mover and user of the ball. Very exciting looking player.

Does he have Mecuris freakish marking ability though.

I miss Mercs!

Finished quite high in the clean hands test at the combine from memory?

I don’t like the way the ‘percentile’ thingy works.
If you finish in the 100th percentile - that sounds like everyone is as good as you. I’d like to finish in the 1st percentile. (and probably would)

Mate if you had an atar of 1 you’d be beyond hope.

Dude’s classy AF with the ball.

Seems good decision making was as high on our list as anything for most of our picks. I know you can’t take too much out of highlights packages, but the guys we picked appear to be smart with the ball.

Also, don’t think we’ve ever had a player with more of a used car dealer’s name.

That’s interesting, I’d thought about that a while back. When I was at school I only heard of one person getting in the 60s and everyone from 70 upwards. Do people actually get ATARs of 10, 20 and 30?

It cuts off giving students the exact ATAR at 30% so anything below that is given the ranking of “Less than 30”.

You used to (when it was ENTER, yes I’m old) be able to apply (for a fee) for them to calculate your number if you did that poorly.

Cam Cloke was extraordinarily proud of his 18.
