Let’s just admit - we are sh*t

He was going at 2.5 goals a game. His goal kicking was absolutely on, regardless of his weight.

Also, I think that’s more goals per game than the whole side has managed since he got injured.

Im guessing AMT

I am fed up with the direction that this club is heading. Board show some guts, call an emergency meeting, tell Woosha goodby. Truck must now be given full licence to play his game for the remaining rounds of the season and see if he can stamp his authority on the team.
This cannot be delayed any longer.

It’s easier this way, I don’t get furious when we don’t show up and get pumped.

You’d be smiling too if you were getting paid a mill a year to sit on a park bench watching people, who are paid significantly less than you, embarrass themselves

I’ve lost interest. I stopped watching about halfway through third quarter today. Honestly, the sight of Worsfold’s face just makes me nauseous.

Here we find ourselves at a time where we can’t even go outside, and Essendon won’t even field a product worth watching on television when there is barely any competition at all from other sports or activities.

FFS, even Bruce McAvaney was bored doing commentary on our match and was practically begging for us to do something.

I noticed a lot of people are lamenting how their kids don’t seem to be interested anymore. Mine never were in the first place. My oldest wants to be a soccer player.

I wouldn’t have the faintest idea where to start… but I don’t feel like there should be any sacred cows at all. I don’t think I’d be upset if we traded out for draft picks.

And people wonder why I call the guy a fraud

He should be embarrassed at the state of the playing group that he has handed over to rutten, but he won’t be. Just smiling and laughing and collecting a paycheck.

Fraud

Rutten and Cara have a massive job thanks to this bloke

Worsfold deserves a massive kick in the nuts. Didn’t Mark Harvey iron him out in the 90s?

Worsfold loved a good hip and shoulder sending blokes into next week you think the team will play with some aggression and toughness but the complete opposite

Previous years and you thought… this is it… this is the low point.

There is no bottom to this abyss. This is worse than 70s… seriously worse.

I understand Hird can’t come back… but fark me if his years (pre saga) weren’t the first time I actually felt like I could trust this club to deliver again. We had a style, we had passion… we had something.

Seriously… outside of those years… this club is just going through the motions. Just rolling up, getting the paycheck and then heading home. Legit have zero hope we will ever get better… we are five ‘rebuilds’ in and not once have we really moved the needle.

Look around the league… Saints have been at the top, bottomed out and now rebuilding… North have some young kids coming through… Brisbane and Port have rebuilt and are coming through… the perennial Geelong, Hawks, West Coast types…

How the fark do we catch up when we have had the SAME recruiter for 20 bloody years… I mean seriously how farking stupid is this club. No sniff of finals but we have the same guy selecting our talent year on year…

Burn the whole thing down and start again. I’d keep Ridley, AMT, McGrath, Merrett, Parish, Shiel, Stringer, Draper and maybe a couple of others I’m forgotting… the rest should all be on the block… seriously pathetic waste of time following this club.

McKernan, Bellchambers, Cutler, Stewart, and Begley should not be on our list next year.
Too many dregs on our list!

SAINTS HAVE BEEN UP AND BACK AND ARE NOW ON THE WAY UP AGAIN AND WE HAVEN’T EVEN GOT OUT OF THE CARPARK.

We’re in trouble. We’re so far away from being a relevant team capable of winning finals let alone flags yet the most disturbing thing is the club is completely oblivious to it and thinks getting a few players back will solve all the issues. We’re gonna be in the hole for a long time and this club will be mediocre for another decade.

We had those awful losses under Hird as well, but you could reasonably expect the club to respond when we did.

Lost Anzac Day 2011 in a close one? Kick 15 goals in the first quarter the next week.

Lose to Melbourne in 2012 in a shocking display of arrogance? Win by 148 (one hundred and forty-eight ■■■■■■■ points) the next time we play them.

This group? Get robbed blind vs Collingwood on Anzac Day, barely give a whimper a week later

We beat the Lions for inside 50’s as we did St Kilda but still got belted

We also dominated Suns in 2nd half but couldn’t put enough scores on board

Missing talent aside in forward half we must have the dumbest/most poorly skilled group of players

Entries not to advantage
Entries directly to opposition
Entries to where opposition numbers are

All of this sees us waste opportunities/ball rebounded easily.

Time and time again.

And don’t get me started on switching of play in backline with no actual options to progress forward (no one also working hard enough to provide that) resulting in us then going for a highly risky kick instead of just getting it long down line from where they were in the first place.

Watson on SEN- over correction on slowing down and being more methodical. Ie- holding onto ball forward of wing with no.one to kick too. Then its too late with Saints taking countless marks.

Useless transfer of pressure shared amongst the mids with excessive handball.

Need bigger bodies in middle.

Said Woosha has done some good things…but…

Shiel/Zerrett/Smith/Parish/Tippa.

All same same body size.

Big,big issue.

How the fark Clarke isn’t being thrown in there to balance the mix is baffling, when he was recruiting as that.

What happened to Langfords extensive apprenticeship as a mid?

I swear, selection and position has us losing these games before they even farkin begin.Even if it looks like the personnel isnt good enough,at least have the right structure and framework in place. Its like our gameplan is designed with the idea we have all of the players on the field we actually lack. Its actually exposing tbe weaknesses of players we already knew they had- and can’t farkin change even if they wanted to!

Clarke at HFF,when he cant kick from 40m? Please.

Are we tanking?

We are ■■■■.

It’s actually relieving to no longer have any expectations of even a whimper for the rest of the year. Won’t win another game.

Tim’s knowledge of footy is better than mine. But I do wonder what these “good things” could be.

Sounded quite insincere tbh
