Cold, miserable, spitty afternoon today between Wangoom and West Warrnambool - Wangoom’s first game ever on turf. They’re an ex-Grassmere club (most of those clubs joined the Warrnambool comp about 5 or 6 years ago, largely from a semi-circle of towns around Warrnambool). Some came in on their own, like Hawkesdale, some merged in.
Wangoom were sent in, game shortened by 3 overs a side after about 7mm during the night.
Windy with scattered mizzle. Wangoom were sent in and even at 4-208, then bowled West out for 132 after 32 overs.

Dad brag here. My two daughters play cricket. They love it, but it’s more a social thing and something to do that their dad loves, rather than being superstars
Anyway today my 13 year old hit her first career 4. She followed up with her second 4 to get her team home with a well made 10*. I think I need to say Halloween only comes if you bat well every week.
