I was sitting with a mate from out of town at Etihad one day and he looked at me with a serious face and announced “I’ve been to Telstra Dome before but never Etihad. They’re pretty similar aren’t they”. I nearly choked on my beer.

You have to be 52 kms away from the entrance as it is.
The smoking area for Etihad is actually located at Waverley Park.

I hate the corporatisation of the naming of buildings.
I couldn’t care less what these stadiums are called. I don’t care to keep up with naming rights etc. I just call the stadiums by their actual names. Ie. Docklands stadium, Kardinia Park, Princes park.
I’m not going to waste my time or energy remembering all the corperate name changes to these stadiums each year.
I’m certainly not going to waste my energy complaining about the individual naming rights.
