Hitting a few blokes isn’t changing culture
if we beat the Saints with the aggression that we showed last night the media and footy experts will be 100% on board with the new Essendon
Even if we don’t show the aggression - if we win the media will put it down to the Essendon edge.
Our players were coping that crap for years and now that we want to dish it back fans don’t like it

It’s about showing aggression but also intent to win the ball.
I think our improvement at winning the contested ball is indication that there is a shift.
The gaping hole is defending transition that obviously needs a lot of work.
Our pressure, contested work and clearances have all improved though.

Brad has us on the right track imo we need to give him time at least till the last year of his contract we cant keep sacking coaches every 2 years

I don’t mind the players dishing it out. It’s entertaining. I don’t think it makes us a better team though.

Maybe for other teams is not but for us this needs to happen if we want to become a better team
I did. It was just dumb football, it wasn’t tough at all. It cost us a goal at a critical time when we could have been building momentum. Strong play is always welcome, but that wasn’t an example of it.

Let’s be realistic; we might not have the right list yet but every club will now be expecting a thump to go in with.

That goal at end of the third was a real peak Essendon achievement, 9 seconds left and just let an oppo mid straight line the contest towards goal, that was the most idiotic and infuriating play of the night for me, real you had one job stuff

wow the footage of our defense shown on First Crack was horrendous. Goulden runs straight up the middle and you have Perkins etc just ball watching as he speeds passed them
Seems our players have no awareness on what’s happening all too busy ball watching.
If you see a player run passed you go after them fark watching the ball
