I had the pleasure of sitting opposite Andrew Phillips at the dinner held in Bendigo when the Bombers came here in February. I said to him that he should be selected round 1 and that I believed that he would play well enough to keep TBC out of the side. Andrew just smiled back. In hindsight I think that I was absolutely right. Well done Andrew.

A great night for records - Tippa most consecutive games for EFC & Mason Cox broke the record for worst performance since Leon Davis 2002 GF .
It was sooooooo farking good to see a competitive ruckman. He got smashed for hitouts but his tackling, pressure, lots of shepards, little taps in the packs to our advantage it was everything we haven’t had for 3 games.
Are we a good wet weather team all of a sudden? We didn’t switch on until it started heavy rain & it seemed to spark an attack on the contest we haven’t seen all year. Probably not great timing now of to QLD but still it was a good sign.

I’m thrilled that we won but is anyone still filthy about the blatant cheating by the umpires? Snelling’s tackle was perfect! I still can’t believe that throw by Treloar was missed (or should I say ignored?)

One of the highlights of the night was Redman telling Hurley where to go when hurls asked to take the kickout. Redman played on and hit a bomber on the tit on the back flank
