Match Review. We win. Demons Lose

Oh oh oh o’brien and Jarrett were probably the best of the kids, solid games. Good to see

Yay!

Reckon whichever Dee tried to clean up Benny Howlett in the 3rd/4th is lucky his head’s a cinderblock.

Woo Hooo. Great to see an enthusastic bomber team!
And although that first half of 4th quarter had every mistake in the book, they fought back really well.

JD Jedi master.

Gutsy win, feels good. Feels like the reverse of every recent game we’ve played Melbourne, this time they blew all the opportunities up forward and we snuck home.

Umpires must feel really disappointed with their team mates efforts in front of goal.

Ah what a difference a win makes.

Now I will:-

-Buy the Sunday paper.
-Watch the footy shows
-Make love with intent.

Baby Bombers!!!

As opposed to?

A disinterested handjob

MRP have already adjudicated it was contact to the bicep

Hurley - full beast mode.
JoeD - never looked like missing.
Bags - provided important run out of defence, led Garlett to the ball almost all day.
BJ - tons of leadership off HB.
Stanton - ran all day, used the ball well. Gave Joe a nice pass, dobbed one himself.
Edwards - more than a cameo, a natural forward, looks dangerous whenever he has the ball in his hands.
N’OB - will not many accolades today, but blanketed the dangerous Jones, who had little effect on the game.
Gleeson - took the game on also provided plenty of rebound and run.
Heppell - led from the front and was dynamic.
Laverde - decent debut, didn’t get much of it, but has a touch of class about the way he moves.
Smack - worked hard but not tall enough today, against Gawn.

Lots to like about the way they played with less inhibition today. When the Dees got the run on in the last and threatened to steal the win, Joey stepped up and nailed it. As the senior player in the F50 playing his 40th game, there is plenty of upside, 12 players today with less than 40 games the common potators said. One of our youngest teams put on the field for years. Hooker could have been paid a couple of frees in the last quarter as well.

How good is it to see the boys actually celebrate a goal with a bit of enthusiasm. It’s amazing how much better the team looks when it’s got a little run and dash in the side. We didn’t look all that slow today. This is the team that needs to stay in for the rest of the year to see who can make it, who can’t and give the kids some experience. It’s the only way forward.

O’Brien was actually pretty decent. He’s got some decent hands in the clinches.

Back 6 looked pretty good. Hurls is a beast back there. Gwilt has been good every time we’ve played.

Heppell didn’t get a lot of the ball but still played a very good captains game. The leaders were all good, special mention to Stants and BJ.

Laverde didn’t do much and probably isn’t ready but he seems like a smart footballer.

Must play Giles next week. Not playing him almost cost us the game because we got monstered in the ruck.

Against a putrid team we played **** but just hung on and won. But why are we excited and pumped?

Because we saw our future…we were forced to give youth a chance. They played like St kilda and Bulldogs youth play.

They ran hard and tackled hard and did everything basic which needs to be done at this level.

Can someone email Hird and tell him that he played more than 8 under 50 game players…and guess what happened? If he doesn’t can that stupid theory then he needs to look for another profession.

That Edwards goal absolutely pumped up all the fans and players.

The afl are so petty. They switched off the PA in the southern stand to censor our song

Relieved.

Heart, determination and youth triumph.

So many positives. One of the biggest for mine was pig. Best game for the year.

Best game ive seen jackson merrett play too

Hurley stays back. END OF STORY.

We had that good of day even NOB was pretty good. Some of his handballs on the inside we’re good

Would have switch Steinberg and Hooker for the last quarter if I was coach, but a good performance from the kids today. BJ played like we know he can play.

LID OFF

Thought Laverde almost held his own. Several times in traffic he dished off to a second or third (better) option rather than panicking. Solid in the air too. Carlton will really regret passing up on this kid.

Yep saw that. Really good inside work.

Lav showed glimpses but nothing else. Carried him through that game big time.
