That is the problem, only 15 years. I go back over 65 years. Essendon was one of the first words l ever learned. My step brothers were responsible for getting me involved, and one took me to see my first VFL game in 1962 V Fitzroy at the dreadful old Brunswick St. ground, complete with W class trams rattling past. It helped that Geoff Leek, VC of the 1962 team lived behind our next door neighbours.
