As mentioned earlier High mark and silver will be fine, they get contacted about tickets, the seats are set aside as priority, but you will need to purchase. Each club has these tier types.
If you have bought the ‘grand final guarantee’ as an add on for a bronze or lower, you are an idiot. You only have to look at other clubs forums for fans who’ve ‘bought’ similarly worded add ons only to miss out.

I’m an Essendon member and willingly fork out my hard earned every year knowing we are fkn hot trash.
I even made my kids support the team.

That’s what I might do. My way to rationalise it is think of how much we have saved by not having to fork out for finals tickets and grand finals in the last 20 years

I have been told, and based on the website it does seem that High Mark and Silver will go into a ballot where they are given the opportunity to access tickets.
I’ll be attending our next Grand Final, I don’t care how much it costs or the strings I have to pull to make it happen.
Pretty sure high mark and silver members are guaranteed a seat (if they want to take up the option). The issue is that like Collingwood last year, the seats these members may be allocated might still be shithouse.
People might not like it, but HM and silver members should be getting the pick of the seats should we make a GF. Let the riff raff feast on whatever’s left

So, I emailed them and here’s the response.
Apparently HM members will get a seat for the GF pending registration per the process.
That means………… Lid off!!
There would surely be enough tickets to get all high mark members a spot.
The klans problem was when it looked bloody obvious they were the only team that was going to win the flag last year they all upgraded to their equivalent of HM and there wasnt enough tickets.

Gold members of the 2 competing clubs have priority and it basically does guarantee a seat. No guarantee of a good seat, though. Obviously, who the 2 teams are makes a difference. EFC v Pies would be tighter than EFC v GWS.
What’s left is then available to gold members of the other clubs, then silver members. In my experience it’s rare that silver members get a ticket.
Bottom line is, you will likely need at least Silver package level to ensure a seat I guess…
i reckon if I had a seat right at the back i would just head down to standing room or would they not allow that? much better atmosphere down there and the players arent ants.

I was High Mark for 20 years from 2002. I’m not getting sucked in again just yet. Especially at round 10.

If you get to a GF just hope you get GWS or GC. A lot of extra Richmond fans got in in 2019

Doubt you’d be stopped but I’ve seen them 10/12 deep there on GF day. You need to get there early (ie. when the gates open) to get a decent viewing point.
