Looking at Coll v Ess tickets and it appears the top deck of the Olympic is already gone.

Get in soon if you want to witness Essendon end Collingwoods season in person.

How is there nothing available on level 3 for a low drawing interstate side? what a load of absolute rubbish

Im not planning on going, just curious how this can keep happening

Level 3 won’t be on sale and will be used for walk up seating on the day.

Anyone have spare tickets for tomorrow night I could purchase?

They will open level 3 in the Olympic Stand closer to the game. I’d say they don’t initially to ensure seating is taken on lower levels and also on the low chance that the crowd will be poor that they don’t actually open the top section.

Having said that, Essendon has reserved seat sections on level 3 so I think it’s more the first point.

Membership Updates.

Collingwood - 110,000 (approx)
Carlton - 103,000 (website)
Richmond - 95,000 (website)
Hawthorn - 85,000 (Gowers update 09/06)
Geelong - 82,200 (website)
Essendon - 77,917

What the! How Hawthorn / Geelong have gone past Essendon this year despite Essendon sitting 3rd on the ladder is as much amazing as it is really concerning for the club if its current membership figure published is actually true.

Plenty of supporters still don’t trust the club and good on them for voting with their wallet.

The support is there, we had 50k+ of our own there on Sunday but Aceman is right, no way you would trust thid club.

Agree 100%. It’s a testament to the dedication of our supporters that we recorded such impressive numbers for so long after 2013.

Membership numbers are all rubbish anyway. Attendance figures are king and we’re doing very well in that regard, I’d imagine.

I think that’s true. The next 10 weeks will be telling for next year onwards. Irrespective, it’s still a really poor figure and I’d assume if significant concern despite them believing everything will be ok if the win finals.

Highest average home attendance this year with 63,000.

It won’t be by years end, all remaining home games against interstate teams. Will be around 3rd/4th in Victoria at this stage.

I think they need that race vs Fujitsu man or whatever they are called at both 1/4 and 3/4 time. That’ll fix it right up.

Other factor is AFLW memberships. Essendon haven’t been successful hiring members for its ‘W’ team. Among the bottom 5 clubs for membership. Hawks (~6,000), Cats (~5,500) much more successful launching their women’s program,

Essendon has only 2,800 from what I understand.

We win a final and that number skyrockets next year.
Sort out the ■■■■ on the field and the off field opens up and comes along with it.

Thos numbers are pretty much what I expect.
Heck, just read the posts in the changes threads and review threads. A high majority have a ‘doom and gloom’ outset already mapped out. It didn’t just start now, it’s been going for six weeks. Anyone who used to be a member is highly likely to have that same mentality.
And no amount of marketing, incentives, etc. would bring them back.

Once the ‘doom and gloom’ mindset is broken (which requires the on field stuff to be trustworthy), they will come back. And the demand will be there.

AFLW numbers aren’t counted in our overall numbers.
At least that’s not what I understand.

Just like our mens program, once success comes into the AFL team, it’ll flow on to the AFLW team.

The cost of attending an AFLW game doesn’t really lend itself to a membership either. The length of the year doesn’t either. May as well just pay the attendance cost and go to 3 or 4 games.

The comp really needs time to expand.
