Vote no to songs after goals!
I looked into High Mark in 2014, there was no wait but the best seats available were L2, forward/back pocket. I wasn’t going to pay for those seats when old mate in centre wing was paying the same.
Name a song less than 20 years old that they play at the footy that isn’t the kissy kissy one
63,360 as of today, a thousand sold since Monday. Obviously some jumping on with renewed optimism. Also the telethon / SEN promotion seems to have delivered.
At 29/02/24, EFC we’re 64,125 for next comparison.
A win last night great timing to ensure others join.
I think the 4 games for $86 deal expires at the end of today.
So which Blitzers received a call from an Essendon player today? Anyone?
Not me, and I had the phone ready all day !
Nope
I was up at 6am eagerly awaiting my annual call from Harry Jones. I was all set to complement him on his game. Call me Harry, call me!
I have a confession… i renewed… its an illness dont judge me
Why Harry?
He called me last year and introduced himself as Harry. I’m a bit vague on that because he woke me up and I grumpily said I would sign up if you guys beat Sydney in Sydney.
I like the thought of Goldstein having to explain to the playing group what a landline is and how it works.
You got a call without being signed up?
I had previously been a member for 10 years or so but had not recommitted because I didn’t know where I would be. They definitely rang and at my leisure I bought a membership which was great when we dominated GWS but it all seemed to go downhill from there.
I’ve never received a call ![]()
64,193 as of today. In line with last year.
I think bringing forward the telethon might compared to when it ran last year (??) mean sales are front ended. Looks like they’ve sold about 2,000 the last week with the obvious success of the SEN initiative too.
It’s been a strong selling month for sure.
Been a great summer for the membership team.
-
Cleared off all the old reserved seat members that never show up that they didn’t want any more
-
introduced the reserved Bays
-
increased the prices with limited to no drop off in membership numbers.
The membership numbers look promising.
I’m not worried if it’s at a reduced overall revenue.
It’s more of an ‘opportunity cost’ that is lost when people buy a membership with reserved seats that they do not intend to fill. Getting people in to the membership that best suits their habits opens up the chance for more seating opportunities for other members on gameday.
I tried to activate my digital membership last week and it said the voucher wasn’t valid. I contacted Watch AFL who told me it was an Essendon problem. I messaged the club who told me to try AFL membership department. This morning they emailed to tell me to try Watch AFL. I sent them a very grumpy email and attached all previous correspondence and miraculously they were able to activate my voucher within a couple of hours. Too late for the Cats game but in time for the real season. I should be grateful I guess.
