At 11/03/25, we have 65,891 members.
At 12/03/24, we had 67,238. So we’re down around 1,000 I reckon.
Geez, I just tried to do the same and it directs you through ticketmaster and some problematic loop that stops me from getting a new membership.
What a debacle.
We are Silver members, how do I get tickets for Friday night now it’s fully ticketed.
Can’t figure out how to get via Ticketmaster
Is anyone able to access their tickets via the app yet? I just get a black screen Ticketmaster page when I try.
Update: Friggin don’t pick wrong options, can cost a fortune
Finally got standing room for $8 each
upgrades are on Ticketek NOT Ticketmaster.
What? You pay $8 extra to not get a seat. Make that ten bucks with booking fee BS
This gives us a sense of how Essendon has lost lots of reserved seat holders. These seats in the front sections of level four if the Warne Stand haven’t been available for public sale at Essendon home games for many, many years. Only time you could buy them was when the club returned members seats mid week leading up to the game. These sections not Club member seat sections in 2025. I suspect is partly the impact of most sales and club looking to not sell as many season seats.
Youre getting mixed up with Away games.
For home games Essendon have never had reserved seat members on the top deck of the southern (bar during the mid 2000s when the MCG was being redeveloped)
Those seats are always available to walk up GA when we play interstate sides at the G.
The fact theyre being pre sold is very unusual though, theres no way they could be expecting anything more than 30k on Saturday.
I have had a reserved seat for all away games at the MCG in Q14 for a few years now - legacy membership. Less and less Essendon supporters in Q14 now compared to previous years. Friday night there were a lot of Hawthorn sprinkled around. Return game against Collingwood late last year was the same.
It’s a home game with most likely decent weather. I reckon we will get 45-50k
We’re not capable of that size crowd against Adelaide in our current state.
Maybe a sizeable crows contingent will come down and make it 35k.
No lines and full strength beer time slot. Magnificent.
No chance we will get close. People just dont turn up against these non vic sides. 34-37K
17/03/25 - 66,679
19/03/25 - 69,190
Starting to widen and reflect the mood more realistically. I noted previously we may not get the lift between now and round 10-12 this year compared to last year.
Well I haven’t renewed this year…first time for a long long time. Cannot cope with North mentality coaching, and very complicated way of trying to contact club to renew.
Received a letter saying it won’t be the same without me!!??
Want our …old…club back !! Not the same now.
The club would be very happy with 40K, but I agree, 35K-37K depending on the weather. We’d have to be flying to crack 50K against the Crows at the G’.
May not? It’s highly unlikely.
The only way we replicate that is if the results are ‘like for like’ which would be unexpected.
Given the price rise, the ‘it’s been 20 years of this ■■■■’ and all the other ‘fan sentiment’, I’d say we’re doing pretty well.
I’m expecting a lot of those membership figures were down grades as well. Which can be a benefit and a detriment at the same time. Selling fans memberships / seats that they do not intend to use is great from a ‘take the money and run’ perspective, but it means empty seats that could have gone to others that wanted them (GA or otherwise).
The 1:20 start will make it really hard to get at least 6 pints in beforehand.
