Again for a club and a team as ■■■■ as ours, the numbers look fine. Did the cutnpaste from some site so not sure of the accuracy.

It makes it really hard for families to get there.
Saturday is pretty popular for kids sport.
My own kid has a hoops game @12.15.
But ofc it’s 1.20 so Foxtel can show three games in a row.
TV is all that matters in 2025 and the clubs gladly comply because they get good coin.

My son has his game at 11:50am. We will get dropped off at the station straight after but the ride from Berwick to Richmond is a journey. We will probably miss the first quarter.

I find it harder and harder these days to get to the games and I’m forking out a small fortune for it. I’m an AFL member with Essendon Club support package. Paying a good $1000 a year just for myself plus kids. Kids basketball on Saturday then kids footy on Sunday but the hardest thing is I work Arvo shift so the only way I get to go to the Thursday and Friday night games is when I take an annual leave day or a sickie. One game years ago against hawks at Marvel on a Friday night I took a sickie to watch the game and after a goal the camera panned straight to me while celebrating a goal. Quite a few people at work saw the footage watching the game in the lunchroom on their break. My phone was ringing hot hahaha. From what I understand the Full AFL membership is at least a 20 year wait now so don’t want to give that up. My dad signed my son up before he was born so hopefully he gets his full membership in next few years.

Only Collingwood is a bigger club than Essendon.
