That’s not the Hawks fault, that’s Essendon’s decision to upgrade it.

Although I assume you’re saying the Hawks would’ve foreseen this might’ve been an upgrade game and therefore shouldn’t have made it a replacement game.

If the crowd ends up the way it’s going, this stuff up is on Essendon.

It’s a silly game to be a replacement game. Pick one that they can be assured of getting into for nought.

If the Hawks want to complain, they shouldnt have sold 5 ■■■■■■■ games a year to a different state

If you’re a member and can’t go next week, don’t forget that if you return your seat you can secure $25 reduction from your membership cost in 2027. Think you have until noon next Tuesday to return your seat to redeem discount.

Has anyone worked out how to get their membership card on the mobile app?

I’ve clicked on Member Card, its asked me to link to ticketek account….did that…but then its only shows various games that i can get tickets to and not my member card details etc.

My card links to Ticketmaster not Ticketek

First time I logged in it only showed a few games.
I logged out and back in and still the same.
But, I logged in and after a few days the rest of the home game tickets came through.

My mistake it is ticketmaster.

maybe I’m misunderstanding what this is…..I thought it was a digital version of my membership card so that i don’t have to carry it around…..i.e. its shows my membership type, member id and barcode.

Can you see your tickets?

Yeah that’s not how it works. You don’t get a card.

Some details show up if you click through, but barcode and access come up closer to game day.

You want a digital card clearly where it says membership card? Cmon, its only 2026!

This is actually outrageous.

They don’t let you stack the vouchers online either, so you can either increase the order to save on delivery or get hit multiple times for delivery when trying to use up the discount.

It’s better to go in store at the Hangar, they are more helpful, but less convenient and less choice.

Ticket sales are really disappointing for this Hawks game.

They’ve hardly sold a seat on top deck of Ponsford Stand. They’re still yet to sell heaps of seats top deck of Southern / Olympic Stands.

Below you can see they’re still struggling to sell prime level two seats in the Ponsford Stand.

They’re asking for $55 for top deck Ponsford and even $150 for level 2 seating in the forward pocket.

This gave to me is struggling to get over 70,000 and should never have been designated a fully ticketed game. It was greedy and the Clubs have misread the play completely on this.

There’s probably ~10,000 GA / Flexi members who won’t go to this game and there will be thousands of empty seats and bays on the night at this point.

A stuff up and I think the club will regret it by allowing the league to look at alternatives in the future to fill the stadium. An own goal.

Ponsford Top Deck

Southern Top Deck

Level 2, Ponsford!

■■■■■ the lot of them, Club, AFL, Ground and Ticket Agencies included.

Getting harder and harder to justify GA memberships.

I agree, they’re becoming sham.. You’re getting fewer and fewer games you can go to.

Eventually we will be a good team. How will a flexi or GA member get to go?

This is pure greed and I reckon brazen effort to fleece fans early in the season whilst there is some demand to attend. It’s not like this is a top two ladder blockbuster. It’s top 6 Vs bottom 6 early year.

If this was a normal ticket game, it’d draw 80-85k. Current sales indicate to my clueless eye a crowd around 70-72,000. Last year it drew 80,750.

It’s unacceptable and members should be complaining to the Clubs membership department about it..

Weird. Because when I tried to get level 2 seats a few weeks ago I couldn’t. Could only get level 2A.

I asked ChatGPT how much extra money the club would make from making this fully ticketed and drawing 77k than if they just let the masses scan in and loaded up on general admin and standing room tickets and drew 92k. It said it’s best guess was the 77k fully ticketed was a $280,000 better financial result.

Be lucky to get 70k.

It’s all Hawks fans and empty seats here.
