Merry Christmas to all

You were the one who cited social media comments as some kind of evidence lol

Well across the different platforms it does give a good insight into what the majority of people are thinking. Hence why marketing companies use it as resource to help make business decisions and research trends.

at least the intern that said happy holidays might get a job out of driving this much engagement

Of all the social media you follow, how many times has there been an adverse mention?

Good old Rita panini. Probably never even knew what Essington was prior to this.

I suspect organisations overthink their messaging for significant dates or events. At the end of the day it is Christmas, like today is Boxing Day and in a week it is New Years Day. And next month is Chinese New Year.

Rita missed all the recent EFC references of Christmas on its twiiter account, including the festivities at the club.

Was yesterday actually St Essington Day?

Certainly feels like it. Our season is already doomed.

when essendon congratulated all its recently draftees on getting drafted, i found it rather insensitive to those that didn’t get drafted.

One could argue that makes it a bigger oversight. Organisations over-think the messaging around significant dates or events.

There are political threads and all that for this.

This was a nice thread.

Why can’t we have nice threads any more?

I hope all Blitzers had a great Christmas and Boxing Day, and didn’t overindulge too much.

For those that struggle at this time of year, please reach out to someone and avoid the Training Report thread.

Not sure why it’s so hard to simply say merry Christmas on Christmas Day. Just like they should acknowledge all holidays, irrespective of what religion that holiday may belong to.

This thread proves that some people can’t simply say Merry Christmas on Christmas Day, in a thread specifically dedicated to it, when there’s aaaaaaaall those other threads to have a sook voice their very important and totally legitimate concerns in.

Which l guess is a social experiment that had very sad results.

nah it proves that some people had to be offended and derail the christmas thread into a sook about happy holidays. sprinkle in some gaslight accusations

We are arguing about a greeting, representating the birth of a child, that was most likely not born on 25 December.
