might need to add this book to my christmas list.

Surely the crown saga and him resigning due to a royal commission is the end of it.

I’m sure he’s still got plenty of mates and acolytes that think he’s the bees knees. Plenty of sharks out there that would think he’s name alone would add something to their organization.

Fascinating that he got a gig as a guest panelist on Footy Classified a couple of months ago.

Boys Club indeed.

Well maybe. I dunno there are lots of people that could offer as much or more than demitriou

sure, but that’s always been the case and yet look where he got to.

Well the trappings of power(corruption) come with the territory if you have no principles.

Now his corruption has been laid bare in a Royal commission I am not sure if many publicly listed companies would risk having him near a board.

There is an operational risk attached.

Certainly in any regulated industry.

Probably true, but he’s toast as far as anyone on the ASX 200 is concerned - will never get anywhere near that sort of gig again now.

Demetriou , not Evans or Fitzpatrick - old money

He still has mates and pull, but he comes with baggage now. He’ll continue to get gigs, but from now on they’ll be shonky smaller outfits looking to cash in on his connections into the boys club.

So basically Crown but smaller.

Or doing gigs with Dougie Hawkins at local sportsman’s nights

People would only pay money for that if they can throw rotten vegetables at him.

Just finished the book, the AFLs behaviour is even more disgusting than I thought.

Just imagine doing your corporate culture case study assignment on that crew…

Does anyone else ever read this thread title as ‘Michael Werner Footyology Podcast’?

Just heard the interview where Mick Malthouse asked Richard Goyder about Mick Warner’s book…. And whether he will read it.

What an absolute disgrace of a response.

Said something to the effect of.

“I’ve got no interest in it. I’ve got a handle on how the AFL is run. I don’t respect the content in the book”

So pretty much…… he’s got his head in the sand, and wants to look after his mates.
