And yet the one in question (Liam McMahon) is 23 or so; so you’d think he’d need to impact sooner rather than later if drafted.
We have plenty of 23-24 year olds, seems to be our next lot of players were building around.
I don’t mind that McMahon beat up on the catters. (and us)

I watched this guys highlights he looks good, i wonder why he hasn’t been picked up?
He was on Collingwoods list originally.
carlton gave him a train on spot.
Its interesting listening to nic Martin on back chat podcast, if it wasn’t for a quad injury he’d likely be a west coast eagles player.
He was 1 of 4 guys we wanted as a rookie, but choose Patty VOSS.
Then gave him a call to train forn SSP straight after draft.
I’d say with the clubs below us at the minute who would be after a key forward Melbourne and west coast would probably be keen.
Richmond I would doubt as the picked up three key forwards in the draft
Something you realise after watching a lot of under 18s footy and this might be just my opinion, but there is so much talent that misses getting drafted each and every year. This whole ‘there isn’t enough talent’ is the biggest load of rubbish around, i use to believe it myself though.

Doesn’t mean we waste our time chasing him again. He’s a high risk of going down based on his history.

Lists are just too small to harness it.
Lists of 40 odd. Of which 23 are needed to play seniors every week. And at least 5 are injured. When you turn over 6 or 7 every year as a minimum (and the players you bring in are overwhelmingly young) you basically can’t afford to develop players over any period of time and have a competitive team…

They specifically said all levels. I don’t know what was meant by that. Practice games, equivalent of EDFL?

If he keeps it up he’s definitely going to be looking at another chance, not sure he’d want to come back here though. He’d at least be familiar with the systems.
