Survived Melbourne arrival. Waiting for Canberra connection.

It’s so good being home. We are the lucky country.

It take being overseas to realise that we actually have it good here.

Welcome home

We do have it good, but it could be so much better if we had decent politicians who looked after us before looking after the multi nationals. And no, Peter Dutton would be a very backward step.

@Aceman what are the chances of flights in and out of Brisbane on Wednesday?
What is the max wind planes will operate in?

Anything about 40 clicks and you are starting to get into strife

So I can assume getting in and out on Wednesday is going to be hard?

If Albert hits then no chance I’d say. They will close the airport well in advance and divert any planes on their way

IMO Wednesday you should be fine, but it will be pretty wet.

I have a mate heading up to QLD Thursday morning for the Brisbane Cats game.
There will be lots of people questioning their travel plans to Brisbane/Gold coast this weekend.

Will the cruise ships be able to dock at Brisbane?
A friend who is a Cats supporter had timed to finish a cruise Friday in time for the Saturday game.
Correction
Dock Thursday for the night game

Depends on the severity of the storm at the time. Would hope its long passed or weakened by Friday

The US is one aircraft accident from the airline and travel industries collapsing. Well done fake tan

No one likes what the clown is doing but the truth is most people don’t bat an eyelid at serious crashes and the industry will just move on as it always does after a disaster

They do to a point, but this is different, there are laready signs of travellers getting nervous about flying. The public spooks easily.

Depends what you mean. Will they pick and choose airlines more intentionally? Probably. Will they not fly / catch the train ? Seems pretty unlikely.
