Ohtani going absolutely off…
What? 6-6, 3 HR, 2 2B, 2 SB?
Acuna’s record of the first player to have 40 HR 40 SB in a season didn’t hold up for long.
And he tried to stretch one of those doubles into a triple but was caught short by about 3m. Nearly had the cycle to go along with an absolutely incredible day out. The third bomb was the biggest, but it was off a position player on the mound as they were a million runs in front at that point. Still, the scorebook says HR, so who cares?!
50/50!
Atlanta are all but out of the race now/ With the Mets losing, they should have got back to 2 games back, but Charlie Morton gave up 3 runs they never clawed back.
Sale has been the sole shining light for the pitching crew. Fried and Morton patchy, Lopez patchy and Schwellenbach shows good signs. Relief crew mainly ordinary.
Anyone else with this problem?

Of course, “back to browser” options don’t work! MLB makes billions but can’t run a website?
Royals doing their very best to bottle a wildcard spot by losing 7 in a row. Finally stopped the slide today with a 1-0 win after 10 innings over the Nats.
On the other end of the spectrum, my Giants, who have nothing to play for, are on absolute fire winning series against the Orioles, Royals, and D’backs and scoring 48 runs in the last 7 games. Ah, love me some false hope for next season!
5 games to go…Braves 1 game behind the Mets for the final wildcard spot, with at series at home against them. Schwellenbach wins game 1, and the next 2 postponed due to extreme weather across Georgia, so they play a double-header on Monday, after a home series against the Royals.
Sale was due to pitch today, so they have to decide when to pitch him, with his 18-3 record.
Still inconsistent, but a week ago, I gave them little chance.
I think the D-Backs are in the rate for that last spot too, half a game ahead of the Braves.
Yeah the Cardinals have decided to start winning now that they have been eliminated.
Probably because they are sitting the overpaid hacks and playing the kids.
Could that strategy catch on somewhere else?
It’s pretty universal.
You obviously haven’t been keeping up with BS Brad’s selection policy.
Royals back to the playoffs for the first time since 2015!
We forgot to mention yesterday, RIP to the A’s in Oakland
Braves, Mets and DBacks all tied for the 2nd and 3rd wildcard spot in the NL.
Braves beat the Royals 3-0, Mets lost 8-4.
Fried kept the Royals scoreless for 26 outs, then gave up a double to have the Royals on 2nd and 3rd. Iglesias came in and needed one pitch to finish it.
Braves in a good place because Royals will rest Lugo, Ragans, Wacha and Erceg now and maybe even Salvy and Witt Jr.
Absolute indictment of their horrendous owner.
