MotoGp. 2024 . Marquez on a Ducati

italys a ■■■■ country, could’ve just rained for another 15 minutes and given us a fun gp

Marcy marq is back

We had a fantastic time at Misano gp at San Marino, Misano World circuit Marco Simoncelli. The spots of rain were sparse so we were surprised with Martin’s decision. It honestly stopped before he’d finished entering the pits. Jack and Marc made the most of the hesitation of others and for a while we hoped Jack might podium. In the end Pecco was happy to take the points and Jack unfortunately could not hold his pace.
The Italians are passionate about their bike racing - it was a great experience.
Rimini tonight is filled with people in MotoGP gear. (& many others- it’s a mad place!)
:+1:
(Photos are of Nicky Hayden’s memorial site. Such an innocuous stretch of road ….makes no sense).

Shiiiiiiiiiiii

Jorge giving the up yours

Had every right to, but still a good result for him with Pecco out. Thought Bas would have copped some penalty at least.

Relatively unremarkable Japanese GP, other than Acosta taking pole ( incredible result !) and then not scoring a single race point (arguably an even more incredible result !! )

Pecco narrows the gap on Martin to 10 points , Phillip Island up next .

Absolute carnage in Moto2 free practice. Wet track and cold winds have robbed the tyres of all heat and there have been crashes galore. Ogura high sided through turn 1, which I’m not sure I’ve seen since the 500 days!

Also massive concerns about tyre wear. The track was resurfaced and is quite grippy when warm, but no one has been able to get any race distance testing on the slicks and there’s a huge chance that the tyres won’t last a full race. Riders are going to have to gamble on hard or medium tyres.

And in these conditions , the 2023 bikes have been better than the 2024 bikes, unable to get setup data for the 2024’s .

Free practice for Moto Gp about to start.

Skies just starting to clear a bit. Could be a mix of wet and dry track conditions to negotiate shortly.

Jack couldn’t get out of Q1. But neither could Acosta.

Track is dry, slicks are on for Q2.

BatMav third!

Much wind ?

My god that stack at turn 1 in the sprint was nasty

Horrible accident between Bezz and Vinalës at the end of the straight, Bezz locked the front end in the slipstream and took Mav out. Thankfully both are up but won’t be surprised if Bezz is injured.

Got to hand it to Marquez, going strong on an old bike and doesn’t care who he steamrolls.

Very gusty by the look of it. I’m going down tomorrow morning for raceday.

This track really suits him - and the older bike isn’t at such a disadvantage because the 2024’s get better drive out of slower corners , which are far less important at PI.

He’s also 3rd in the championship and his first year on a Ducati.

Just arriving back into Venice - will catch up on the race today. (Yes, Kayo works while using a VPN set for Australia )
Interesting to see if anything comes of the turn one enquiry. (I’m not up to date with it all so apologies if that’s already been cleared/sorted).

I can picture the black Harley chopper right now.
