Just put two black lines either side of the sash (as wide as the shading is.) Whatever.

Disagree. I like the shading.
Actually suggested this to someone at the club last year, but actually wanted the first 20mm or so solid black, . then grading down to the red over another 50mm or thereabouts, Reckon it’d look swish.

Black whenever possible with either jumper, … and o/wise white so at least there’s contrast and doesn’t look like a HotPants/body suit.
There’s not many things I really hate, … but Red shorts is one of them.

One thing I would say against it is the AFL make us wear it far too much.
We don’t clash with Freo. Now they’ve dropped the red, there’s no problem. And if we have to wear it against Freo, why not Carlton?
We won’t wear it against the Eagles, but we never needed to.
With Port adding a white number panel, we don’t need it there. Again, if we clash with Port, why not Collingwood.
I argue strongly that we don’t need it against Richmond. The yellow sticks out enough.
The only teams we need it for are Melbourne and St. Kilda.
